That Subaru was awesome, I’m trying to work out how one can fit into my life without looking like even more of a tool Get the estate version. You need it for all the kids stuff after all. Estate! /sniggers

You get to take it to the limit and no-one gives it a second thought.

Loved the Jaaaag bit, especially that XJ6 that Hamster ended up with - that thing looked majestic.

I think the deliberate lack of continuity worked well as the whole piece was meant to be very tongue in cheek.

Indeed - the Jaaaaaag film was excellent. Best thing they've done in ages.

If my (and your) experience is anything to go by, fast Jaaaaags are pretty sensible to run, reliable, nice to drive - even for a queefesque nutjob - and really do shift. There must be some serious bargains out there in the older V8 models, especially supercharged ones, if they are anything like as good as the newer ones . I still think an XF V8S must be a total bargain if you get a good one...

There still are for non supercharged stuff, but super-charged stuff seems to be now talked up as future classics, so people are starting to price them with that in mind.

It’s possible also because the late 90’s stuff used to be either shit but a bargain or expensive but in great condition. Now the latter are starting to hold or gain value but the former have mostly fallen to bits and been scrapped!

An XK8 like the one May had is going for around $2,500 here. Very few Jaaaags available though there are some nice XF’s.

Just watched it, not a bad episode and the rally piece was excellent. I don’t suppose many people remember that story these days.

Is the blonde Clarkson spoke to about handbrake turns famous? She is very familiar but I just cant place her.

Is the blonde Clarkson spoke to about handbrake turns famous? She is very familiar but I just cant place her. Generic Polish/Eastern European blonde. The last two episodes have been much better but that's because they've pretty much reverted to the old Top Gear format, only on Amazon. They even had Anthony Joshua on as the Star in the Unreasonably priced car and used the same photo of his Astra. I loved the rallying piece as well. I'd also like to see the drive on refueling idea rolled out on motorways as soon as possible - just for the comedy value.
