Quick ZT260 update. Not a lot to report other than the AC compressor almost catching fire after seizing up. This is, sadly, a well known problem for 260s - as it is with Mustangs with the same motor. For now it's OK along the AC is in "econ" so the compressor isn't engaged and the pulley freewheels but the pulley bearings are getting noisy. I've bought a shorter belt and need a ribbed pulley for the tensioner so I can reroute the auxiliary drive belt and bypass the AC. The silver 260 also did this but back then I had a warranty. A new compressor here is 300 quid but from the US, including postage (but excluding any import duty that might get applied) it's 137...
Other than that, minimal use but when driven it always produces a smile. Apart from when the compressor almost caught fire!

Fire is something you definitely want to avoid!
Pleased to hear you’re still enjoying it!

In fairness, its a well known issue on these engines - remember the same unit and AC gubbins is widely used across the pond on a lot of vehicles. They ju. st tend to spark and smoke
