So has it snowed with you?
We were promised a good covering last night. Even the usually extremely pessimistic Accuweather app (which basically accurately never thinks it will ever do anything other than rain precipitation-wise) was predicting 5-6cms overnight. But it, surprise surprise did not materialise and whilst it has "snizzled" busily since about 10am, it's just cold, wet and slightly icy outside. It was 3 degrees on the garden wall at lunchtime which just isn't cold enough. Now, it's dropped to 1 degree and starting to try to settle but still basically just wet.
Even up at my mother's on the Suffolk coast, she's had 5-6cms but nothing like the 10-15cm dump they were fussing about on the weather forecast last night.

Like you, I was expecting Arctic conditions today but we’ve had the lightest dustings that has stuck only on a few bare patches of land and on a few roof tiles. The hills are covered but they have been for a month.

Probably about as much as Michael. It all melted the other day, but we have been white since last night.
I took the Land Rover on a test drive up the fell towards Stanhope, and the drifts were a couple of feet tall. My usual test route was closed due to drifts.

It was a bit brassic on the beach this morning, with needle- like snow/hail beating off my face. There’s a dusting on my BBQ and outside furniture but that’s it.

We've been threatened with anything up to 8 inches of snow since before last weekend; certainly here in North Lanarkshire, we've yet to see more than a light dusting which lasted barely 24 hours!
The BBC weather predictions seem on par with the quality of reporting in recent months; i.e. utter shite!

No snow, in fact not even any rain bar a few drops, on the Surrey-Hants border whereas I was expecting to wake up to a covering of a couple of inches according to the forecast. Just spoken to mum in Guildford and she said only a few brief flurries during the day, but a short while ago, younger daughter (just outside Watford) texted to say that snow was settling at her place

It's snowing here this morning, with what looks like a breezy day with snow showers ahead. The media have ramped up the rhetoric on this weather, with all the "Beast From The East" nonsense. It's an easterly air flow which, in the winter, means cold. It's winter ffs.

This was from my game of golf yesterday. Winter greens and flurries of light snow. The flag wasn't blowing in the wind - it was frozen!

Cold, sunny intervals and the odd flurry here. Seems to me it's just winter weather and not the Beast from the East 2 as was billed (so far...).

During the night I could here hail beating off the windows but only woke up to a dusting this morning. We've got proper snow flurries now and Mrs. Sacamano is walking round muttering that she's hoping for a good 8 inches today. I think she might be disappointed there though.

How weird - from the forecast I had assumed anyone in the north east and much of Scotland had had a few very deep coverings already, and the south east and east anglia this weekend.
Its impressively cold here with constant flurries of snow in the air but only the slightest of dustings anywhere. Snow seems to always be on the forecast for the next day or so, or later today, they when it refreshes its gone from the forecast. PITA as I love snow! I use the Met Office forecast which is pretty pessimistic (if you want snow), according to my phone one and the BBC I'd be skiing much of the winter.

Nothing here. Continuous light flurries all morning and it's certainly cold enough to settle, but there isn't enough precipitation.

Wee bit of snow just as I left to take Phoebe to school, I was in Jo's Fiesta so had a hoot down the back lanes on the untouched snow. You forget how much fun a skinny tyred FWD car is in slippy conditions.

The Met Office are now saying a 30% chance of some snow tomorrow. That sounds like a "they don't know" really. But it does look like it will be cold right up to the weekend.

That looks lovely but freezing.
I went out for a walk along the Thames earlier and it was absolutely Baltic walking into the wind on the river path - windchill must have been significant. Ended up putting a face mask on just because it was considerably warmer with one on!
