HI11 EWE on a fairly recent, green Range Rover at the Westmorland Hotel at Tebay this evening. No dark tints, either. Proper gentleman (hill) farmer spec.

I saw B16DNO on a white Freelander yesterday. I immediately thought isn’t far off Blarno’s plate. I unconsciously wondered what it meant until it occurs to me this was Big Deano’s Freelander.

GO11FSH doesn't quite spell "GOLFISH" but at least it was on a Golf. I admire the owner's sense of humour, if this was his intention but.......basically a fail

It would've been funnier on a VW brand car that was based on the Golf - a Tiguan or something like that.

Why is it that whenever I see a car with a plate starting BO55 no matter how respectable a car it is and how well its driver, I just can't help imagining the driver to be an utter bell end?

Why is it that whenever I see a car with a plate starting BO55 no matter how respectable a car it is and how well its driver, I just can't help imagining the driver to be an utter bell end? Because you know it IS driven by a bell end and if it's being well driven then that's only a temporary glitch and normal bellendery will resume soon.

V44 MSL is getting put on the Range Rover when I get the logbook back. I'm not putting L300 MSL on the L200 as that would look like I'm trying too hard and fallen way short of the mark. I've gone for a little bit of cheese from the DVLA bargain basement of plates - LL04 MSL - the missus is called Lindsey. She's not that impressed. 😂

Spotted this morning FR 53 AKS, but with no spaces, on a yellow Mustang. The plate was one of those stupid 4D ones and the car clearly had spacers. I didn't hear a rumble as it went past - although it was in town - so no idea if it was a proper Mustang or a pointless 4 pot.
Looking at its MOT history I'm lucky to have seen it - car reg'd in 2016, 1st MOT 3 years later at 897 (!) miles and still only showing 8k miles at the most recent one.

Not really gittish but this morning driving locally I noticed going in the other direction a silver-grey Aston Martin DB5 with the number plate OO6
DVLA check shows it's genuine

Probably, no scratch that, definitely the worst, most tasteless plate I've ever seen on any car - in this case a Vauxhall Insignia.
UN05 HME spaced illegally to read U NOSH ME. FFS.
