Thanks. I'll have a proper look before we do anything but will make sure the fine gets paid before it increases.
It's one of these annoying ones - empty road, middle of the night, no danger to anybody (well, not from speeding as such, maybe from being tired).

Well, it's official - I'm diseased. Lindsey has cold like symptoms too so we are both self isolating. My symptoms appeared Monday, so in theory, another 8 days to go, but I will probably give it a bit longer. Good job I did a two week shop on Monday when I found out about our friend's results, although we didn't class as a contact when I checked. Speedy recovery mark

I'm not doing too badly thanks guys. It still feels like a cold other than the sudden and quite debilitating fatigue that strikes without warning and the total loss of smell and taste, which is just weird.
I have no other symptoms - no fever and no continuous cough - slight tickle, that's it. Stuffy head and the aforementioned fatigue and anosmia. I suspect I am lucky.

Why do you say that? I have wiped the phone and installed a new OS that doesn't incorporate Google Mobile Services. It has no Google apps on it at all. I have a portal to the Play Store that signs me in using an anonymous email address and spoofs my location at the same time. I use Firefox as the browser, which is one of the few available that aren't based on Chrome. I use web based email (Protonmail) and I have an app called NewPipe that is a YouTube portal so I can watch vids.

I don't like google either but the default search engine for firefox is, google. I have disabled google as far as I can on my firefox account but it is quite deeply embedded. The firefox developers have acknowledged that google is the default search engine for purely financial reasons.

As if Covid were not bad enough, we now face a shortage of "leisure-wear".... from the news this morning:
The UK is facing a leisurewear shortage after the nation traded office attire for comfortable clothing during lockdown, a new analysis has found. Fashion retailers said they had experienced an explosion in demand for trainers, jogging bottoms and leggings as the country eschewed suits and high heels and began working from home. The spike in popularity for comfortable clothes coincided with issues with supply chains, as factories in Bangladesh, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia were forced to close, the fashion analysis firm Edited found. One retailer said he received less than half of the quantity of products he ordered during the pandemic, with brands forced to ration their stocks across the country. The news comes after the online retail giant Asos reported a worldwide shortage of trainers, jogging bottoms and hoodies.
Clearly all those people earning $1 a year in sweat shops in Asia are shirking and need to work harder.

RDQ: What's the collective noun for "Qashqais"? Prompted by seeing several in a row out of my kitchen window as I was making breakfast this morning

Kind of like a “Murder” of crows, you get a “Pandemic” (or in some circles, a faux superiority) of Prius, and a “Tragedy” of Quasquais.

Just a question about Ferrari 550 Maranello's, any idea what the most common interior materials would be with a yellow example?

Mrs Tim has managed to procure a free piano (except it's going to cost us a van hire so not totally free) but how do you move something that weighs at least 150kg in these virus times!

The professional piano removers have straps that go under the piano with one guy either side and they have a way of wrapping the strap around their shoulders and across their backs to minimise strain. There are also usually 4 or 6 guys depending on the size of the piano. If they have to go any distance they also have a wheeled cradle. Bottom line is - you need help!

Er, thanks. No chimps were harmed in the making of this story. Including Mrs Tim there were 4 of us, her brother reckons he can dead lift 200kg which is interesting but not helpful since you have to stand up to move a piano. Anyway all went fairly well and the use of some 22mm thick loft flooring type boards made life significantly easier.
