I saw a food programme a few months ago and some lab they visited had a Christmas pudding that was about 50 years old and they tested it (scientifically) each year and reckoned it was still perfectly edible.

1998 is impressive. I love playing best before date bingo at my mum and dad’s house. They will always insist stuff is fine.

I poured away about a dozen cans of McEwans Export that were dated 2010 and 2011. They were still frothy and might've been ok to drink but its Export so you just wouldn't!

Seen on Facebook earlier -
OPEN CASTING for PAID FILM EXTRAS......For a major feature film from Working Title Films........
People of all ages, genders and backgrounds wanted.
Production are keen to see people with Long, Natural Hair and Beards.
You must be over 16 years old to attend.
I hope the script makes more sense. If they need women with long, natural hair and beards they may be disappointed.

Sounds like they're going to be doing a film about women's weightlifting in 2020.

There was a fing on the telly box earlier where a wimmin said her kind can't be discriminated against because they're not a minority. 51% of the UK's poulation is genetically female. Whether they identify as such is another matter.

Wait for the appeal.
When it was mentioned on the radio this morning his defence team asked for leniency in light of his health. Er, no. He was healthy when he committed the crimes so why should he get a reduction?

He was healthy when he committed the crimes so why should he get a reduction? If he appeals (on what grounds I wonder?), they should just charge him with a load more offences.

That sounds better, or add ten years per appeal count.

One for Humph here, from the Coventry Motor Museum: An early Standard. Did you spot the film they play on a loop of the Standard factory in 1932? Quite possible that my car is featured somewhere on the film.

If I return I'll look out for your car... what colour is it in the film or is it in B&W? Coventry city centre was interesting and if I'd had more time (I got my hair cut before I started off on the journey) I'd have liked to look round it a bit more

We got the bedrooms re-carpeted last week and since then the master bedroom has smelt a bit odd - like the smell of pee! A bit annoying but last night it occurred to me that Mrs Tim also painted the room so a after a bit of sniffing the wall it turns out the iffy smell is the paint!

That particular issue was sorted out over 2 years ago. All paint was recalled from stores decanted into bulk containers and then shipped off to be re-processed, we did all the transport and decanting Is it new paint?

No, it's probably 2 or 3 years old and it isn't Valspar, it's Crown or Dulux.

I really like the Valspar premium stuff. Miles better than Crown or Dulux IMO. The standard stuff is a bit crap like Crown and Dulux.
