It must be strange round her house - when a friend rings up and says "Are you going to the Oscar Party tonight, our Gwn?" and she replies "No I've got to stop in a shove 300 candles up my fanny this weekend so they can posted off Monday morning".

On a different note:
For over a year the door handle to our main office has been broken, meaning that it doesn't latch - a simple push will open it and you're through. Until this morning, maintenance must have fixed it last night and told no-one. I nearly broke my nose this morning when I walked through, or tried to, at speed. My embarrassment has been tempered by a morning of thuds and curses as fellow members of staff have all been similarly caught out.
I might have to put out a safety notice at the next toolbox talk.

Our main door at reception autolocks at 5pm exactly and a few times I've almost done the same but it's usually limited to a sore wrist instead!

Looks more like an unlicensed breeder imo.

Why? They're not selling puppies and this isn't a breed that'll make tons of money as it's not popular...

No I don’t think it’s piss taking. They’ve set the price to deter unscrupulous people who would see a cheap pedigree dog as a licence to print money from multiple litters.

There is that viewpoint, yes. Like I said though, this isn't a Labrador that you can start your own puppy farm with as you'd never sell the pups. The Kennel Club puppy finder for the Irish Terrier currently has a single dog available and that's another 2.5yo re-home job. They're as rare as unicorn teeth, these pooches because barely anyone buys them. Not quite on the endangered list yet but getting there... www.thekennelclub.org.uk/forgottenbreedsThere's also the fact that the seller has been on the site for 8 years. Done this before perhaps?

Battered what most people had considered the most dangerous heavyweight in the Workd for 7 rounds and then led the entire crowd on a karaoke of American Pie. Some guy.

I've always thought that caging birds was a bit cruel, fair play to him for giving them a proper exercise.

Stayed at the Hilton St George last night, home of English football apparently. Several ex England and Premiership (80s) stars at breakfast this morning as there’s a tournament on. Recognised faces, not many names, but did have a brief chat with Stuart Pearce who was on the table next to me.

Unfortunately for Wilder there footage of him boasting on the radio that he trains in a 45lb weight vest so that he's quicker in the ring.

Quicker than what tho'? He seemed out of it quite quickly but there are pictures of him complaining about the stoppage. I don't think a rematch is in his best interests tbh.

I think it's a bit of posturing while they negotiate for him to step aside. He's going to be offered in excess of $10 million and not have to even lace up a glove. He'd be mad not to accept it.

I was visiting my mum last night and while getting something out of the pantry knocked over a bottle of dandelion & burdock. When I retrieved it imagine my surprise to see its best before date was 2005. I had a bit more of a search and discovered a can of Guinness (not something my Dad ever drank) from 2003 but the, er, best was a jar of Colman's beef and something sauce with a use by date of July 1998! The seal was intact.
