I really like the Valspar premium stuff. Miles better than Crown or Dulux IMO. The standard stuff is a bit crap like Crown and Dulux. Valspar premium is a very good paint and was recommended to us by a decorator who said he wouldn't touch most other retail paints. He only bought trade paint or if he needed a colour made up, Valspar.

Is Valspar one of the 'washable' types, resistant to marking etc?

I only ask because I am thinking of doing my piece of t'ierre a tasteful blend of orange, purple and puke green and I want to make it difficult to remove in case of eviction etc. Besides it might burn out the eyes of our local site manager who is shockingly inept/ignorant/stoopid.

Sometimes our British sense of humour shines through. From the comments section below the letter in today's DT online. To stop hoarding - "Supermarkets could have a narrow entrance turnstile - about 18 inches wide. If you can get through.....you need food. If you can't.....you don't need any more food". And David Blunkett had a letter published. -

Went for my daily allowed exercise walk today; up to the main road from my sidestreet, a couple of hundred yards down the footpath towards the hospital and came across this: My old C-Max, looking clean too ! The speed stripe is missing off the rear door, so don't know if it's been in a bit of an incident, plus the dealers replaced my custom-sized and shaped plates with their own, which is a bit sad, but such is life. So I've now seen my old Ka and C-Max, bizarely within about 10 metres of the same location but not at the same time (obviously)

They may need to upgrade IT as well as physical space 😆 that said Wickes couldn't deliver until mid may🤪

Just been on B&Q's website, they have a virtual queue for entry and the current wait time is at least 1 hour! This is what I faced last week when my kitchen unit door hinges broke
Nearly 205,000 ahead in queue, so that must be a significant number of households across the country who were waiting to try to buy from B&Q

All I saw was Saturn and some high flying aircraft. We had a mysterious large gas turbine aircraft earlier that may have been a B2. We get them round here sometimes.
Unless that large and bright object was Richard Branson's wig making a break for it.

I checked online for sky maps and it was saturn, I'm in Gloucestershire. Saturn starts off high up to the west and dips to the north west during the evening.

Checked again and all bar one agree it was Venus. I really must cross check my web sites in future. Sorry.

Mrs P wrote out a small shopping list that had a tin of apricots on it. I remembered that there was a tin of peach slices in the cupboard and got it out to ask if it would be a suitable substitution. BBE was 2012! Probably still ok to eat.

Just had a brief socially-distant chat with our local's landlord. He reckons he had to throw away £11k's worth of beer last week. I could have wept...
He also reckons his best guess for pubs being allowed to reopen is mid-July.
I did weep...

I’d don’t know if it’s this lockdown but I keep having reoccurring nightmares about jogging.
It’s been 5 nights running now.
