Talking of fast tall cars. I think this is one of the coolest Defenders I have seen. The sound and acceleration is immense.

That’s so true. I like the flavours of all the artisan gins that have suddenly crawled out of the woodwork, but at home, I make it like the guy on the left. A good slug over ice in a tall glass with a wedge of lime and lots of tonic.

The rev off made me chuckle.
It'd be even better if they didn't play music across the top of it.

For some reason a lot of you tube stuff has bleepin' 'orrible music dubbed over it, including sunken ships ffs. Taste is definitely on the slide music wise.

It's a standard now, usually on documentaries it's plinky plonky piano or quite harsh (i.e. not flowing or smooth) violins.

Even the 2005 is OTT - when I was a barman in the early 80's it was: ask if they want ice and lemon, 'bash' on the optic, open the bottle of tonic, place them both on the bar - with a people 4 or 5 deep at the bar you didn't mess around!

I can't make out if the 2 leaders crashed separately or was there out-of-camera-shot touching? Maybe Sav will be along with the answer.....

Looks like the guy who had just been overtaken got a twitch as he went into the corner and crashed by over-corecting while the one who had just taken the lead was going too fast to make it out the other side anyway.
Those GT cars are too wide for the twisty bits.

I knew we had one of these somewhere!
Got this from PH. They did it very differently back then. I think it’s a damn sight safer these days but it does take a lot longer.

Thanks for those Scouse, imho, the GT race demonstrates problems with track/car suitability. No way out of the situation those guys fouind themselves in but to restrict Macau to certain classes only.

Dodgy.
Still registered as a 1.5 diesel and untaxed. That kind of corner cutting boils my piss - why go to all the trouble of all the engineering just to not register it correctly?
If it isn't registered properly, do you think it's insured properly too?
I love stuff like this, but a lot of cars like this are let down by dodgy corner cutters.

Have a look at this. Phenomenal video just for the production, but if anyone was ever thinking of buying a RRC, this will put you off for life.
