Bosch season 4 now on Amazon. Seen it already. Just gets better with every season, in my opinion.

I've just started The Last Kingdom for a second time on Netflix. They've just added series 2 on there, which I wanna see, but I've forgotten what happened in season 1!

The final season of Bates Motel is now available on Netflix. It’s something I enjoyed all the way through. Freddie Highmore was very good.
Walking Dead season 7 is now on Prime too. Starting that in a minute!

Having read all of Uhtred's adventures from The Last Kingdom to The Flame Bearer and having watched how well Sky adapted Game of Thrones I was massively disappointed in the TV show and gave up after three episodes

Starting that in a minute! I’ve watched up to the end of the mid season break on Walking Dead s8 but since it came back on I’ve not been at all inclined to bother. I think the 2nd half of s8 is available on Now TV until mid May so I’ll give it another go but it seems they’re stuck in one place and I’ve not been that excited by the new characters they’ve bought in other than Negan.

I've recently been watching Shameless. Not the UK version, but the seemingly not aired in this country since the first series American version. If anything, it's better than the UK version, which lost the plot after series 3 or 4. I've watched all 8 series of Shameless USA and find myself unable to wait until series 9 airs (October)
William H Macy is awesome as Frank Gallagher and the Americanisation has worked very well - none of the main characters have had their names changed, nor their personalities in relation to their UK equivalents - but the storylines follow a different path. It's still dark and humorous - American humour as well, not Americanised British humour - plenty of random violence, sex, drugs and the the word 'cunt' is used more often than I ever expected from an American TV show.

The first season is not the best. It gets better after that.

Infinity War - if you've kept up with the whole Marvel thing, go see it. Brilliant film. Not really much in the way of plot and the acting isn't going to trouble the film academy, but funny with excellent effects and surprises.

I watched a film called White Settlers (also known as The Blood Lands) at the weekend.
What a load of shite. It was released in 2014 and the story is that a couple of Londoners resettle in a rural part of Scotland, the locals don't like it, terrorise them on their first night and kidnap them before morning, the 2 victims have a cloth sack shoved over their head and when they awake the following day they've been abandoned on a bit of grass somewhere in central London!
It's allegedly meant to reference the then current debate that was going on in the runup to the Scottish Independence vote because, obviously Scottish people don't like incomers and particularly hate the English then. Utter garbage

Noel G at the NIA last night A great mix of solo and anthemic oasis stuff - his latest album is brilliant and the songs sounded good live . Although I’ll never get bored of Don’t look back in anger being sang by the whole arena Also , supporting was Baxter Dury (Ian’s son). I’d not heard of him before but he had some interesting stuff - his tune ‘Miami’ sounds like kraftwerk

I liked Miami, but the rest of the album was rather ho-hum and overly sweary, seemingly for shock effect, which failed on me. Just thought it a bit irritating.

Watched season 1, didn't bother with the second. It hasn't been renewed, so that's the last of it.

Went to see Avengers: Infinity War on Monday.
These comic book films aren't really my thing and I had no idea what was really going on and didn't want to ask the nerds I was with - who clearly understood everything - but it was enjoyable in a brain out kind of way.
