Poor old Max, his championship will forever be tainted by this farce. I suspect he couldn't give a shit! Mmm, not so sure, it will always be at the back of his mind and I'm sure he is going to be reminded of the circumstances many times by journalists.

Masks/face coverings do nothing, social distancing seems to be the best preventative measure however when people are masked, social distancing tends to go out of the window as wearing masks brings a false sense of security.
Look recently when the mask mandate was dropped in England and mask wearing became advisory, most Tory MP's in the commons didn't wear them, most Labour MP"s did, however at the Labour conference most didn't wear them, of course they were less on show to the country.
How was it OK to go to a pub or restaurant and spend all evening there, in an enclosed and busy area and not have to wear a mask but popping to Sainsburys for half an hour in a generally far more open area but you had to wear one.
Masks/face coverings are bullshit but it's an obvious and very visual thing to show that one is doing something when ultimately if you are going to get it, I think you will no matter what preventative measures you try and put in place, save locking yourself away.
On a slightly different note, September 2019 I was ill for 2-3 weeks, shortness of breath, weak, awful cough, very low peak flow which was down to 200 (normal is circa 550-600), I had blood tests, chest x-ray, antibiotics and was told that I was close to being admitted to hospital, clearly the Dr's weren't sure and nothing conclusive came of my problem, it cleared up by itself, I think I had Covid before it became a thing. The wife and some of her nanny friends had similar symptoms but not as bad as me in January/February 2020.

For how long do you think you will continue this way ? At what point do you go back to normal ? You need to explain the importance of the mask because I still haven’t found anyone who can provide a convincing answer as to how they make the slightest difference. With or without a mask, the entire contents of my lungs will be forced into the air - the cotton mask does absolutely jack shit, it doesn’t filter my breath and capture the nasties and it doesn’t neutralise them in any way. Look at when we dropped the mask mandate towards the end of July, Scotland and Wales kept it, there was no change for England and I think our infections per 100,000 remained slightly less than Scotland and Wales, with them keeping the mask mandate Masks is all about control and showing to be doing something, sure an N95 or FFP3 mask which is fitted properly and changed regularly may prevent any spread but come on, a mask made out of an old bit of t-shirt, or a fashion one bought from Etsy won't do fuck all! I'll be honest, we as a family, throughout this pandemic haven't done much different to normal, not washed our hands more, not really sanitised much, youngest worked at Sainsburys during lockdown 1, worn masks when it was a legal requirement but not when it was "advised", eaten out with friends, been to the cinema, went to Reading Festival and mixed with 100,000 others (all unmasked), had our jabs late as didn't want them particularly due to the speed they were approved, really haven't changed much of our routine, wife is a nanny to 3 kids, 2 of which are at school where there have been cases in the school, I deal with the public, we've not had 1 case at work, immediate family have had no cases, neither have the wife's nanny family and the mother is a head teacher.

The Zoe is about 9 years old so has fallen well behind the current NCAP requirements. Move along, nothing to see here ... .. Yep largely this, Renault have changed some side airbags recently which don't perform as well, I have been lead to believe that if the airbags hadn't been changed then it would have likely been a 1 star car, also the entry level Play spec was tested, this doesn't have lane keep assist which would have increased the scoring, nor AEBS, (however this has been removed temporarily from all ZOE, due to the chip shortage). NCAP protocols generally change every 2 years, it's no wonder that a car launched in 2013 which is largely unchanged in 2021 has performed so badly in a far more stringent test. Our sister branch did have someone kicking off about their ZOE that they had owned for 18m and now wouldn't be using it based on the zero star result and what where we going to be doing about it as they still had 2.5 years left on their PCP, their concerns were sent in the direction of Renault UK. Personally I think it will blow over and be forgotten about in a week or 2, safety ratings is no longer something that tends to be asked about anymore, I think because everyone just assumes all cars are 5 star.

Yep, epic final lap from Max but all along I was saying to myself, he'll bin it and he did. Thing is there was no reason for him to screw up when he did, he was already set for pole, he didn't need to push so hard there, I guess he still has a bit to learn.

Duster and something else from the Renault group, Twingo II maybe, only because sometimes with new model training the RHD version isn't available yet.
I've never driven abroad.

Hamilton always performs better when under pressure, I think he'll get his 8th.
I've never warmed to Red Bull, this year though, Horner, Marko and Verstappen have been intolerable.

On Saturday I saw a Laguna II estate and a Nissan Tino within a couple of miles, both must be rare spots these days I saw a gold Laguna mk1 the other day and, colour aside, it reminded me that it was not a bag looking car in its day with its incredibly 90s smoked rear lights and slim headlights. I owned a green mk1 2.0 for a while, it was a great car, very comfy.

3 G-Wagons this morning, all AMG, maybe one was a Brabus, all driven by women of a certain look, welcome to the Weybridge morning school run!!
New Defender is the school run weapon of choice too, see loads of them in the mornings, all driven by women.

This weekend was epic and Hamilton was on another level, put to the back of the Sprint, up to 5th, put back to 10th for the actual race and then wins, unbelievable, Max being his usual self and forcing him off the road, anyone else that would have been a penalty, anyway Hamilton on the back foot and under pressure is a force to be reckoned with.
Really hope Hamilton nails it, just to see Verstappen sulking and you know what I think Hamilton will nail it this year now, it will be close but he has the experience and race craft.
I put £10 on Hamilton to win on pretty average odds, as it was a new account I also got £30 in freebies, I put them all on Hamilton too and won £110.00.
I did also put a tenner on Bottas (25/1) when he was running 3rd and it was getting a bit juicy upfront, just in case as I could see a coming together!

Don't say that Tony Brooks is now driving a Renault..... it wasn't a Renault, he was over at the Shell garage with a flat and asked for some help, I've just asked the service manager, she said "an 02 something or over, I didn't notice"

He'll be disappointed if you don't get all four done in less than 3 seconds! I would think at his age he would be more than happy with a coffee and a bit of chat. No need to speed about now. Yep, went and got the Telegraph and got comfy in the service managers office, reading the paper.

The flex 7 seating on the zafira is a very smart piece of efficient design At launch yes it was a great piece of design, however I always felt that the Grand Scenic (launched a couple of years later), did it far better: - Want to put seats 6 and 7 up in the Zafira, you have to fold up and slide the whole centre bench forward, if the seats are occupied the occupants have to get out; massive faff if there are kids and car seats, in the Grand Scenic, open the boot and pull the tabs, the seats fold out, want them folded away just pull the tab again, push on the seats and they fold on themselves into the floor, the Zafira, slide the whole centre row forward.......
- Lack of legroom in seats 6 and 7 in the Zafira, the whole centre bench has to move forward, in the Grand Scenic, each centre seat slides, independently.
- Need to load up the car for a tip run, all 3 centre seats in the Grand Scenic come out (sometimes, a, pain to put back!), the Zafira, the bench folds up and slides forward, OK a pretty good bit of design but you still have a good foot of folded seat depth left in the car.
- Want to carry something long but not particularly wide and a couple of passengers, you can't in a Zafira as the whole bench has to slide forward, you can in a Grand Scenic as the middle seats slide and remove independently.
Vauxhall used this design right up until the Zafira Tourer, where other marques such as Citroen on the Grand Picasso used a similar and far more practical system to the Renault.
Honda Jazz, fantastic folding rear seats, Meriva wasn't too bad either, Renault tried it with the Modus and it was a pretty poor effort, better on the Grand Modus but not a patch on the Jazz.

Loads of electric cars around here, many Tesla's, the odd Polestar, a few ID3, ZOE's, Hyundai, Kia pretty much everything but then I work within the M25 and live just outside of the M25 so a) wealthy areas and b) close proximity to London.
I drive a ZOE most of the time and have done on and off since 2013, probably helps that sell them!!
A friend of the wife, her brother who lives in Las Vegas, rang her one day and told her to go to Tesla order what you want for you and the 2 kids (his niece and nephew) and he'll pay for them, their 3 new Model 3's are expected in November.

Working in Weybridge and opposite the local petrol station I see many famous people and footballers, I leave them alone as I don't get star struck, but used to have friendly banter and chats with Max Clifford!!
Peter Crouch used to be seen fairly regularly filling up his car, one day one of the mechanics saw him, went over and asked for a selfie, he obliged but was struggling to get a decent shot, my colleague spotted Abbey Clancy in the passenger seat so motioned for her to get out and to take the photo, she did and both were perfectly pleasant, a friend of the wifes is a nanny and the kids she looks after go to/went to the same school as the Crouch kids, she said Abbey is lovely, will chat to anyone and is totally normal.
When Peter came out of the garage after paying, my colleague was back over the road at the dealership, he shouted out to him, he turned round and my colleague did that robot dance thing that Peter was famous for, he thought it was hilarious.
Petr Cech bought a car from us a few years back, he was one of the nicest people and more than happy to sign stuff and have photos take.
One of our customers is Andy Beckwith (Errol in Lock Stock, he's also been in Pirates of the Caribbean and done other films and TV work)he's a nice guy, he's very good friends with my salesmen colleague.
I get that it must be annoying though to be constantly bothered by people when you are famous, however the other side of the coin is, you wouldn't be in that position with all the trappings that being famous brings, if it wasn't for us normo's!
