I was in the local town last weekend and saw a couple of Porsche 911 GT3s - the newest ones with the comedy rear wing - followed by an Audi R8, something lese exotic and a Lotus Evora. One was filling up over the road from work last week, it too had the comedy wing, TBH it looked a bit shit and aftermarket.

A couple of Brabus G-Wagon's have appeared recently, one in a light blue and the other a light khaki, nice to see them in different colours.

I really don't get what China are all about with "Zero Covid" it will never happen, they are completely trashing their economy with this, over a virus that now, is by and large just a cold!

EV sales new and used, nationally have dropped off a cliff in the past couple of months, we've 3 50kWh ZOE's that we can't shift, in the not too distant past we could sell each used ZOE 3 or 4 times over, now not a sniff, the book drop in the past month on each was £900. Is that all sales or EV in particular? All sales have dropped to a degree, I would say more due to the time of year as it does get quieter as Christmas approaches, however EV sales have dropped to a far greater degree.

It's sad that the best Fernando can get next year is the Aston. Yes but ultimately there is no one to blame but himself. I can't see his Aston stint going well tbh, I forsee lots of outbursts and conflict with both Stroll's.

Usual Max driving resumes, send it in going too fast with no hope of making the corner in the hope that the other party gives way, strange as I don;t seem to recall him doing that to anyone else this year, good to see that Hamilton still lives rent free in his head as well as Alonso's!!
The guy is an absolute prick, admitted as much that he did it on purpose.

I have a 7 year old Nespresso machine, it is perfect for that quick hit that I like occasionally, if I want a mug of coffee I use an Aeropress.
We do have instant, Aldi's version of Azera which is decent enough, the guests tend to get that!!
I have simple taste in coffee, strong, decent quality and black.

www.mg.co.uk/new-cars/mg4-evThis is the beginning of the end for a lot of our traditional manufacturers. It might look a bit Fisher Price but most buyers need little else. Paying 5K more for a Honda E with less then half the range... Indeed. People laughed at MG over many years (and there early cars were truly awful) and yet here they are with what represents probably the best value / size / range balance BEV on the market in the UK right now. I am still on the circulation list for Fleet News which now is about 80% EV, 15% PHEV and they blag the odd ICE car to test. There is that there is a big review of the MG4 BEV. The top of the range Trophy Long Range lists at £31,440. 270 mile WLTP range. That's cheaper than a Renault Zoe EV. And a few pages on there is a test of the Megane E-Tech BEV. In Techno trim this will set you back £38,440. We used to have an MG franchise, it was a disaster, if only we'd stuck with it for a few more years, we'd be having it away now with their electric offerings.

I agree - round our way the Puma has replaced the Fiesta as the small Ford that people buy. And although it may be an unpopular opinion, given the choice I'd take the Puma too. Ford apparently sell 4 x the Pumas they do Fiestas Worked very briefly with an ex Ford sales person, she lasted 15 days before we sacked her, she was "off sick" for 8 of those days. We were talking about the Ford product, mainly electric and the lack of it and the apparent lack of new electric models coming through, anyway we got onto what they did sell and it was pretty much only Puma, Ford were massively scaling down on everything apart from Puma, availability of everything bar Puma was abysmal.

Mercedes reserve for 2023, hoping to slot in to a race seat proper in 2024, assuming Hamilton hangs up his helmet.

First one went out at 10:00 yesterday, not seen any out on the road though. Are midnight new reg parties a thing of the past? I know my local Vauxhall dealer always used to do this - those who were really keen to be the first on the road with a new reg would drive off at a minute past midnight. Never been a thing for my time in the motor trade, my older colleague tells me things about it every so often, it seemed more a thing with the 1 plate change a year as opposed to the twice yearly change now. TBH most people don't care about the plate change now, they just want their car ASAP.

I did a Race Car Experience yesterday at Thruxton, the wife and girls bought it for me for my birthday in January, I've always been a bit skeptical about these as you do hear stories about how many are generally a let down, however the wife assured me she did alot of research (which to be fair she is good at for most things), have to say it was a very enjoyable 2.5 hours.
After the briefings, safety talk and do's and don't we went out to the track, 3 of us in a Puma with an instructor showing us the track, pointing out the coloured cones which help with where to brake, turn in and show where the apex is, this was 3 laps, each lap getting gradually faster, then it was 3 laps driving a Caymen with an instructor helping and advising, filling out a score card at the end, there was no attempt at making me slow down, no limits on the revs etc.
Then 5 laps on my own in a Formula Renault, which was fantastic, managed to lap most of them who went out at the same time as me, bloody hard work though then a final 2 laps being driven at great speed in a Focus ST.
Overall I had a great time, saw Tiff Needell too.

Saw this today in Menorca: I love Europe away from the UK for their cars, seen a few 2CV's, Renault 4's, those weird cool Citroen Moke type things, also just general not so old stuff that you rarely see in the UK anymore as we are so obsessed with having the latest boring new white Audi or Mercedes.

So glad I drive a ZOE which I charge at work, the wife's employer (she's a nanny) instead of upping her 45p per mile allowance (can become a tax issue I believe), have told her to claim an extra £60 per month on her expenses.

Only the one about 3 years ago, local dual carriageway, I know there is a mobile camera down there occasionally, I saw it in it's usual layby on the opposite side of the road, I assumed that they didn't cover both sides, I was wrong!!
From memory I was clocked at 60 something in a 50, in a Megane Sports Tourer 1.3T.
3 points and a £100 fine, no option of a course was given, I guess it was out of the parameters, however given it was my first ever, perhaps an education refresh would have been the better option!

^ Is this the latest 2022 Qashqai with the new slim front and rear lights? I quite like the look of it, but no diesel engines on offer plus it does appear to be somewhat huge for a 5-seater, and pricey Get with the programme Chris, diesel is dead, Renault don't offer diesel either and haven't done for around 2 years now.
