I got it right today, in one but I only found that out by going through all the clues. It doesn't appear to work on my phone. I even tried putting capitals in and leaving them out, got the right answer and it does nothing. Think i'll stick to Wordle! On your phone you type in the answer from your keypad and then press return/enter and not done

It didn’t sound too crazy until I got down to the buyers premiums!! That can't be right surely? 26%? No chance you'd pay that just for them hosting an auction. Its no wonder collecting cars are clearing up.

Price seems ambitious but the dealers Classic Heros which just like Bramley adds 5K onto the price for a start. They only deal in top notch stuff though so I imagine if you paid 25K for it and ran it for 3 years you'd still offload it back to them for near 20K. Kinda cheap motoring for a really interesting car.

I was really interested in this car at the early concept stage but once the car was released and the compromise with it being a Z4 not a "proper" Supra then I lost interest. Also on closer inspection and sitting in one I lost any remaining interest in the car. Far too many fake vents and other bits on the car. Again something that wouldn't have been necessary on a clean paper design.
Maybe I need to drive one as I'm sure its very nice but can't see why I'd take one of these over an M2 Comp for example. And your moneys a lot better invested in a Cayman.

Yes it does look like we might be in for a dull season which seems mad given the lead Charles had only a few races ago. Lets hope Merc can take the step up to add some competition or even better if Ferrari can sort out their issues.
The only puzzler is Checo being so fast in Qualifying. From memory he's never been that quick on the Saturday and against Verstappen who really can turn it on he's really impressing. I think last year he was something like 0.7sec off Verstappen in Qualifying so these new cars must just suit his style.

Not too sure to be honest.
My GT4 could hit circa 140mph round Silverstone. I've been around 150-160 on the Autobahn on that short stretch before the Ring in my old 993. With someone else, again, not too sure, I got a ride in a 997 Manthey GT2 on the ring and I have no idea as I was too busy crapping myself but would think it was at least 170MPH. I was on a corporate day at Silverstone and a Pro took me around the circuit for 5 laps in a 991 Supercup car which would have been up around 160MPH.

I've only seen the Evo review so far which I've linked below. I need to watch a few more but Jethro, who happens to be one of my o to journos, was far from impressed. Comes to something if he thinks the 4cyl auto will be the one to have.

Can you imagine a televised debate ahead of the next election between Jeremy Hunt and Kier Starmer? You'd end up being bored to death! Or worse forced to vote Lib Dem just to make it stop! Boris doesn't have to go so on past form I imagine he won't go. Not while Carrie's enjoying hosting parties at Chequers. What that does for the Tories at the next election is hard to say. In many ways the electorate never forgets but in many other ways they are quick to forget if the right promises are made and Labour are still trying to work out what they stand for. But you should be voting for someone competent to lead the country, not some charismatic toss pot. I mean would you want Ant & Dec (popular people apparently but not really giving off an 'I can run the country well' vibe) in No 10? I agree that BoJo won't go. It'll be interesting to see how Reese Mogg weasels around the comments he made when Theresa May got 130 votes against her 3 years ago when the number against Johnson is brought to his attention. We are of course supposed to be voting for our MP not who gets to be PM. Difficult in our constituency as the local Tory is decent enough but I'll be voting Liberal most likely to see of Bozz.

I think he'll win comfortably and lead the party into the next election. Obviously, I don't want that to happen but that's my opinion. I also think he has more support among the general populace than we give him credit for. As they say there ain't nowt so queer as folk. I have nothing against Boris as a person he's just not PM material and should have been outed a long time ago.

When I sold the Focus I got £1500 more through Motorway. Remember Motorway will give you a bottom price when they quote but you only get the actual price once their internal auction ends. They offered me something like £8500 as a minimum but actually achieved £9760 as the car was popular amongst the dealers they use.
You need to be very acurate with motorway on its condition as you are appraising the car. If the winning dealer comes to collect the car and its not as described they will either chip you or walk away,

I'd like to see him go and be replaced by a safe pair of hands, someone like Jeremy Hunt, dull but dependable. Though maybe the reforms he failed to deliver in the NHS might harm his chances.

Interesting combustion engine cars are a dying breed and in theory this will keep prices firm – right up unto the point when the Government do something really stupid: For example: • Massive increases in annual RFL for cars over a certain threshold that is especially punitive to powerful, 5 + cylinder vehicles • Introduction of additional restrictions as to where and when such vehicles can be used • Massive loading of fuel taxation once the tipping point between ICE and EV is reached • Further reductions in speed limits and/or retrospective introduction of speed tracking devices You can well imagine that if the new cars sold from next year onwards have intrusive speed limiting and recording technology enabled – there is going to be even less public tolerance for free spirited individuals “ making progress “. In simple terms – the remaining “ interesting “ options may well have their use cases completely hobbled by a host of new initiatives under consideration that leave you with a nicely painted driveway ornament. It would just be yet another reason to leave the UK. Having watched the Harrison Metcalf vid in his 930 in central Spain I must say the draw to that part of the world for Petrolheads is pretty strong.

I was more absorbed by the Nurburgring 24 Hours. The maddest race in the world. Not sure where else you have a Dacia Logan sharing the same race track as current GT3 machinery. The N24 is always a great watch. Shame there wasn't the drama this year as there has been in the past but amazing racing. When I turned on the tv in the morning and there's only 8 seconds between 1st and 2nd after 15 hours. Incredible. The GT3 guys have to race at 100% for 24hours. I had a mate of mine driving this year for Frikadelli Racing in a 992 Cup car. He started vising the ring 15 years ago and it sort of grew into an obsession where he now drives in the N24 in a competitive car, unfortunately they went out at dawn after hitting the barriers. In fact this weekend was motorsport heaven. The N24, Monaco, BTCC and then to top it off the Indy 500. My missus rally wasn't happy when I'd vegetated in front of the box for most the day and then after the Monaco GP said "thank god that over, whats on now" and I told her the Indy 500 had just started.

You've just got to think of the race being more on the Saturday rather then the Sunday. No doubt F1 would be poorer without Moanco and vice-versa
I'm sure Sterling Moss moaned about Monaco being Mikey mouse in the 50's so its nothing new. The challenge remains and I do like Racing Drivers having a moan, it means their earning their fortunes the hard way. Felt for Charles but that seems to be his fortune currently, lets hope he doesn't turn into an Alesi or even Alonso. Another race Ferrari should have walked and they messed up on strategy. All they had to do was cover off the Red Bulls but I think they were too focused on LeClerc rather then using both drivers.

Pretty sure most of my brushes over the years with the upper echelons of the CS have been reminiscent of my early years working in a professional partnership where a partner would come in, put a bag of coins on your desk and tell you where their car was parked so you could feed the meter. I did indeed vomit into a waste paper bin in the afternoon in said offices after a heavy lunch session at the Westminster Arms. I also woke up in the office on a Saturday morning, woke up in the pub before work, was sent out to buy champagne for the secretary’s lunch and drove out to the partner in the law firm opposite’s house in Chelsea in his chauffeur driven Bentley with his wife that fancied me. Yep. It’s all a bit ‘80s. In that case take me back to Miami Vice, Duran Duran and Donkey Kong, the 80’s sound great

Is it the PM's job to enforce the rules at number 10 or is he being thrown under the bus. Not that I have much sympathy for him but he's a people pleaser and a good timer therefore if theres a beer or glass of win to be had he's probably the first in the queue. . Nothing wrong with that but probably not the right person to hold power. Isn't he the guy that was standing up in front of the nation telling them to keep away from each other, not go to funerals, don't have weddings, don't meet up outside and definitely don't have parties? Then going back to his place of work and seeing groups of people having a drink and saying nothing? It might not specifically be his job to enforce the rules at No 10 but he is the Prime Minister and as such should be setting an example. He didn't need to discipline people but I think if he'd seen even 1 of these parties and told them to break it up due to what he'd just told the rest of us then it'd have an effect. He should certainly have had more sense than hang around to even have 1 drink. It doesn't say much for his judgement or common sense. Especially as he had only just avoided death from Covid a few months previously. Allegedly anyway.
