Go karting. First part of our 25th wedding anniversary was a couple of sessions karting, after which my car rode like a limo, and suddenly had no turn in and no connection between wheel and wheels. It's come back over a few days, but having not driven a kart since I was a kid, the sheer physicality and connectedness was something of a surprise. Managed a couple of spins from clumsy left foot braking (only option, obviously), but felt I was getting the hang of things - lopped 3s off my 45s best from first session, which I was pleased with. I shudder to think how fast it would feel at the limit.
Second part will be the 1 to 1 in the Megane:

Better have a party too, I guess.
(All Mrs 12th's idea.)

Outdoors, I assume?
I used to get back in my car after karting and make a conscious effort to slow down, after a couple of lairy moments on Milton Keynes roundabouts when my brain was still wired for the track.
Even a Fiesta ST felt like a limo after a kart race. Especially when the race in question was the British 24 Hours.
Woefully short on seat time lately, but I'll be back in a kart outdoors for the first time since August 2016 this weekend.

Outdoors indeed. A backwaters place called Stretton, but going early one weekday morning we had it to ourselves. They mostly do kids' stuff, but there are adult karts too. Having done two 15 minute sessions with just the two of us, fuck knows what an endurance event with a track full of others feels like...

I'm worn out after 5 minutes! Me too - all that pedalling does my knees in!

Glad to hear it was fun and you both enjoyed it! Been a while since I went karting but I remember just how much I ached afterwards!
