Good pics. What tyres are on it ? I need to make another trip up north to sample those roads again Michelin PS3. The garage recommends Uniroyal Rainsport 3.

The lower ride height makes a huge difference. Still a decent looking car, you did the right thing improving and keeping it. +1 That looks fantastic. Now for a supercharger.

Well, it blotted its copybook today. Lindsey phoned me and said she had pulled over as the heater was cold and there was steam eminating from the bonnet.
I was at work feeding the cows and mucking out the bulls so couldn't come out and have a look. She got a lift back to the village and abandoned the MX-5.
A mate and I towed it home with my Land Rover and investigated. It was low on coolant so I filled it up and ran it up to temperature where it sat quite happily.
I couldn't get the heater hot but I suspect they are a bitch to bleed. You can't even see the radiator or hoses as they are hidden so suspecting a pinhole somewhere' it can go to the specialist and get diagnosed. It also needs an Mot by the end of the month and the EGR valve sorting and I simply haven't the time.

Well, I managed to get it sorted. 3.5 hours to sort a dodgy hoseclip. Access was terrible. I suspect the specialist forgot to check that one. Not happy!
Glad the car is roadworthy again though and it wasn't anything serious.

The engine had to come out to do the subframes and I suspect it has been like that since we got it back - it's just taken a while for the hose to work itself loose enough to leak.

Last time I looked under my Mark 1, it was immaculate except for a bit of rust on one sill. But that was 5 years ago...……….
