Some of you may remember (or not) that I bought an old Richardson utility trailer a couple of years ago. It was cheap to buy as it had no brakes. A few quid to the friendly welder up the road saw new brake backing plates installed and a little bit of maintenance by myself to the hitch and electrics had it up and running for less than £1000 including purchase.
I had decided that as it was looking somewhat scruffy, it needed a de-rust and a coat of paint. A couple of days with the grinder and liberal amounts of Arc-rite chassis paint and I am quite pleased. An extremely satisfying, albeit filthy couple of days. Al, the framework underneath has been treated too.
I’m not sure how old it is - chassis number 1566 - I’m guessing 80s.
