A mate bought a 64 plate one of these, 5 door in black. It has the 1.0 turbo triple. I took a short drive at the weekend and was impressed by the reasonable amount of go (even a turbo 1 litre doesn't make you think its adequate until you've driven it), the lack of noise, decent comfort and in particular handling. Compared with the 3 series this thing has actual steering feel!
I wasn't overly impressed by the interior quality but given he only paid £8,500 for it at 3 1/2 years and 20k miles I don't think that's grounds for complaint.
I'm sure it has plenty of toys too.
Mrs Tim seemed overly impressed including making noises about looking for something to replace the 320...........
We'll see.

^ Did it have the standard wheels or the optional 17" ? I find that the 17" wheels really improve the handling as there is virtually no sidewall to flex, and there's little detriment to the ride. "Landmark" 10,000 miles came up in mine last week.
EDIT: Just realised that you're referring to the Focus, not Fiesta so ignore all my comments !

Pre facelift I guess? The newer interior is a lot better as is sync3.
App pack is wheels and priv glass

The newer interior is a lot better as is sync3. I prefer the Sony system in my Fiesta to the Sync3 in the Kuga....... dedicated buttons are far easier to use on the move than a touchscreen. There's also no mute button with Sync3 whereas the Sony system has one

Mute for the audio? I think you can just push the off button - it only turns the audio off, not the nav or the phone.

That's what you do in the Mokka I hired the other week; pushing the power button lightly mutes the sound but not phone - presumably not nav either, though I never used that so I don't know for sure.

I tried it today and it works, a light tap of the on/off button does indeed mute the radio. Shame that the dealership didn't know this when I asked a few months back, and one of the salesmen I spoke to was running their Kuga demo at the time too and also thought that there was no mute function !

I can’t remember the power the focus 1.0 I had for the day was, but I didn’t think it was anywhere near as effective in the focus as in the fiesta

He seems very happy with it having got over 50mpg on a cruise at sensible motorway speeds. I found that it did sit very well at 70-80.
