For those of you who have owned your current car for more than a couple of years - how many of you still have the old 2015 tax disk still on display - still there in all three of our cars, mainly because I don't want to leave the mess in the screen when the super adhesive dealer style of holder is removed - I guess I could them scrape and dissolve the adhesive but strangely enough there's generally something better to do.

No, I removed them as soon as I could as I don’t like things stuck to the windows.

Don't scrape it off! spray the glue with WD40, leave for 15 to 20 seconds and wipe it away.
My tax disc holder was gone as soon as the disc expired.

I didn't have a tax disc on display for a couple of years running up to the dissolution of it. It was always in the car, usually on the floor in the passenger footwell in case I got stopped for it and I could claim it had fell out.
Ironically, I was once reported to the DVLA by local plod for failing to display on my Astra GTE, when it had genuinely fallen out of the window and was lying face up in the footwell. I was in bed after a night shift and woke up to the notice on my windscreen.

Got rid of it the day they stopped being a requirement.

Tried to get rid of the adhesive mess from the holder on the Captur but it didn't want to come off even with solvents, was resolved when the screen was changed after it was cracked by debris. Elder daughter had left her last disc in her old Fiesta until it was traded in last year, and mum's Volvo still has its last tax disc on display

I got rid of my actual disc, but the holder is there to cover the tiny crack in the corner of the screen! It has my flying club logo in it now though.

Got rid of them as soon as they were no longer needed. I can't see any point in them being there. Oter than to annoy Martin, naturally.
