Ps. The noddy car is actually a Fiat 500 Gamine spider built by Vignale. I’d never heard of it either.

That’s 15 minutes from me and never knew about this event. Is it only Italian or does the theme change?

Number three - proof that the stylish stereotype is far from universal.

The Integralle is the one I lust after. I still think it looks so right from every angle.
A friend of mine had the fast 131 Mirafiori and nearly killed both of us coming off the slip road for Hamilton on the M74 - he didn't realised it tightened up so much and going 20mph faster than my Golf would go round there on a warm, dry sunny day, it was a flurry of wild steering activity, tyre smoke and expletives. The subsequent 3 point turn on the slip road was interesting even if those following didn't find it very amusing.

The 131 looked better than my picture shows and was very popular so I wasn’t able to get a decent angle. It’s been very nicely restored. The Gamine Vignale got the most attention when it trundled in. A lot of heads turned!

One of the techs from the Fiat/Alfa specialist in Dundee has an identical Integrale that he bought from Italy about 3 years ago. It's lovely.
When I was a teenager a neighbours son had one of the orange 2 door Mirafiori Sports (I think that's what they were called) and I lusted after it. He replaced it with a black Capri 3.0S which ultimately got replaced by a black Sierra Cosworth 3 door.

Legend had it at the time that the 1600TC I had was the quickest of the lot; I can confirm thus was NOT the case - but only just!
