I think you may be confusing 'interesting' with 'hideous' The CHR is quite possibly the worst looking car I have seen in a long time.

I don't like the CHR, but that's because of the stupid rear roofline that makes you feel claustrophobic. That's terrible design.

I tried to be generous but gave up. It looks as though a carpenter came up with a basic shape and switched his/her router on to monster raving loony mode, cutting bits out at random. Does seem to be the preferential style though.

Who'd've thunk that they could take an ugly car and make it even uglier. Toyota really are fucking good at this!

Absolutely love that, lifts the RAV4 out of SUV anonymity. They’ll sell like hot cakes.

We were out with some Prius owning friends at the weekend and when we walked past a CHR they both stopped and coo'd over it. Their only problem is that their son - at age 11 he's already 5' 7". I think the RAV4 will appeal to them.

You'll have to be careful you don't cut yourself on that!

Not that the old one was a desirable looker but that has been ruined. Too edgy, too much chrome, i could almost call it ugly.

As has been pointed out before; beauty is in the eye of the beholder (beer holder?). For what it's worth I think that lifts the Rav 4 out of the anonymous obscurity of a mass of Far East and European SUVs and is quite striking. Out of interest, since you didn't like the swoopy curves of the Jag E-Pace or the more 'origami' Japanese styling of the Rav 4, what SUVs do you like the styling of?

Ones that have been cubed and sent off for recycling.

Out of interest, since you didn't like the swoopy curves of the Jag E-Pace or the more 'origami' Japanese styling of the Rav 4, what SUVs do you like the styling of? The GoodFirst two are easy, firstly the Peugeot 3008 GT-Line. Having seen many on the roads it's easy to see why they are selling. I haven't seen one that doesn't suit a specific colour, it's crisp, modern and well proportioned and ticks every sensible on a budget family car box. If that came with the 200ps engine and a manual box I'd seriously re-look at my finances. Secondly, easy again and very very desirable too, the latest Volvo XC60. Apart from the touchscreen inside which would infuriate me (I don't want to press a screen to change the temperature) that is just about as perfect as it gets for a SUV. Classy, great looking, highly desirable. Next is a little leftfield but I have been reading a lot on the new Jeep Compass and that despite it's faults, and there are a few, it looks rather good BMW X3 with M-pack for 2018 is a belter. Saw a new X2 on the M6 Toll the other day in a handsome blue, in the flesh that has a lot to like The F-Pace, Velar, Macan are much much better proportioned and far more handsome, expensive looking that the E-Pace which I remain saying looks dumpy (see here) , even the Disco Sport is attractive The BadHyundai Kona - gross in every way All Japanese SUV's look cheap VW T-Roc is just a wee bit too boring Ford EcoSport whatever it is is probably the worst of them all Bentayga is the chaviest thing I have ever seen and I would be embarrassed to be seen in one I'd rather walk than own/drive a Suzuki Vitara All Audi SUV's are samey look a likes of each other The hhhhmm, not too bad, also ransSEAT Arona/Ateca Vauxhall Mokka, Crossland, Grandland aren't that bad I suppose but as desirable as genital warts Bigger Citroen SUV's are getting much better MG ZS looks and is cheap but on a budget has appeal All Renault's I've no doubt missed loads out but these spring to mind. I found this pic of the new RAV4. Still think this looks great? It's hideous but I will accept everyone has their own opinions and respect that, what someone dislikes another may like, and vice versa So, in no particular order my current top 5 fav SUV's for styling and desirability would be (excludes the Urus as this is a lottery buy but I think it is utterly superb) Volvo XC60 Peugeot 3008 GT Porsche Macan RR Velar BMW X3

Ones that have been cubed and sent off for recycling. Shirley it'd be easier to recycle parts before cubing a car?

Sometimes I see a CHR and think it's not so bad - but this is absolutely hideous!
