... on the road.
Back in November, left it, a replacement gearbox, instructions to chassis weld as needed, do the holes in the rear door, set up the electronic ignition I fitted just before it went on SORN and anything else to get it through the MOT with the local one-man-band old school mechanic to do it as and when he could fit the jobs in between more pressing stuff - knock on the door on Wednesday with it sitting outside and, in his words, "going like a rocket" - feels much better than it ever has done and is fun to drive again. People talk about a car having steering feel today, but I've never driven anything that comes remotely close to the way a Minor steers.
Sitting on a neighbor's drive for three years did it no favours at all - I need to set to a big tidy up now including refinishing the welded door properly - although I am warming to what some may call the 'rat look' people are asking me does it work? is that really on the road? there's something little bit different in having a car that looks shit but goes well!

Hmm - the photo won't post - uploads OK but won't appear in the post - anyone know what it might be - the image format and size is just the same that I normally use here. Edit - got it to work now

You’ve added the image as an attachment rather than using the add image to post button. I’ve edited the post to remove the attachment and upload it to the image host.
Glad and to hear you’re enjoying it. I quite like the patina on that - you can use it without being too worried about scratches etc.

Sort of thing a racy Nurse Gladys Emmanuelle might drive. (One for the older gents there).

Lovely cars. Glad to see it running on the road. My sister was ferried about in a Traveller. Mum had moved to a Mini Cooper by the time I came along.

My Dad had a rather ancient (even at the time) traveller Reg RSF 549. I'd love to get that number back.

How strange. It can be a bit pernickety on mobile browsers such as on my phone, but it's fine on the iPad.

My Dad had a rather ancient (even at the time) traveller Reg RSF 549. I'd love to get that number back. I bought it (in 1986!) with a dodgy steering rack and the number 711 NDE which I sold the next day to fund the new steering and a couple of other repairs. I'd like to reunite it and I know where it is, but I doubt I could buy i back at a reasonable cost today.

Random fact. Our younger dog's Kennel Club name is Morris Minor. There’s a pole dancer in a bar in Grimsby docks called Hillman Hunter.
