Not sure about the rear door/window treatment, but the disguised front shot looks pretty smart to me.

Looks to me like they're going down the German route of making all their cars look the same, just slightly different sizes.

The rear side window looks wrong, the whole rear looks like it's been reversed into something heavy and square and then Volvo have just grafted on the rear lights from the S90 without scaling them down a bit.
That, for me, is a huge disappointment as I thought the what is current S60 an attractive desirable car, this new one is just badly proportioned. The 3-series and the C-class not only look more expensive but also prestigious, that now looks like a boogo 4 door saloon. Deary me

I think the watermarking on the photo makes it hard to determine exactly what the rear is going to look like.
What does seem clear is the rising metalwork at the base of the rear side windows, like on the XC40 but nothing like as badly done.
As to shape of the rear lights, it's down to personal taste and it doesn't look too bad to me......
