Didn’t realise that existed Martin, I thought the GT models were given the odd number series and the even had GC versions. So surely that should have been a 530 GT not 630? I’m equally unsure about the looks at the back but the interior certainly seems a nice place to spend time in.

Haven't been out much since the start of the month what with snow and illness keeping me inside majority of the time.
Anyway, super walk home today and spotted my first 18 plates
First spot was a Ford Transit Connect van in dark blue
Then, parked up was a BMW X1. Quite an attractive expensive looking car
First car (not van) on the road was a Vauxhall Mokka. Not my cup of tea but looked quite respectable.
One car i have yet to see is a new Stelvio
One car I've started seeing a lot and is my biggest disappointment...the new Insignia Grand Sport...what an incredibly boring design, i know it's a rep special but Christ what an unimaginative design

Forgot my first 18-plate spotted on my way home today - a white Tiguan 'R'.
Yawn.

That used to be the way, no idea why it’s changed other than they think they will sell more with a 6 badge. At least it looks a lot better than the 5GT.

That's like suggesting Theresa May is better looking than Angela Merkel.

Well maybe not sell more but certainly charge more I imagine!

Two more today; a pikey-wagon of some description and a very badly driven - well, extremely vaguely steered - 718 Boxster. The guy driving down a mildly twisty road in front of me this afternoon didn't get within 3 feet of the roadside, or above 30mph!
The main concern was this road goes down a fairly steep hill, and his very wide line nearly resulted in a Lexus Rx going off the side trying to avoid him! Lckily, 718-guy managed to steer ti a bit nearer the verge just in time, but that lasted all of 5 seconds! I hope he learns how to drive it pretty soon, otherwise he's going to get mangled!!

Maybe he was just trying to avoid the inevitable potholes/crumbling road edges that are everywhere so that his alloys remain pristine for at least a few days?

Thanks for reminding me Tim - I have a list of potholes to report so I had better get to it!

Me too - I hit several on the way from Kinross towards St Andrews along the A???. It was particularly bad on the West side of Auchtermuchty.
Apparently Fife Council have taken workies off other things and drafted them in to fill in potholes!!

Amazingly, that stretch of road is pothole free!!

Nope, I don't believe that! Rightly so, as it turns out. I had occasion to travel the opposite direction today and there was one shallow (10mm maybe?) but quite wide pothole-in-waiting just before the incline of the hill starts. Ah well .. .. ..

I finally saw my first (and only) 18 plate yesterday. It was a white Golf TDI Snoozathon at the petrol station, I only noticed the plate as I pulled away from behind it.

Due to what I suspect is a knackered front bearing, the Legacy is currently sojourned on the upper part of the driveway until a bed is free in the motor hospital (Thursday). This has necessitated the rental of a class 'B' car from Enterprise, upgraded free to a class 'C' due to not actually having any Corsa-sized cars in stock! The reason I mention it is because I currently have a 18-plated Mokka X Elite sitting on the drive, in a rather fetching (not!) shade of metallic orange. Personally, I think it's gold, as does everyone else who's seen it, but there we are. It had 124 miles on it when I picked it up on Saturday, now has well over 200. Anyway, they all count, right?

It's taken until now to see my second 18 plate and even then it was my Uncle's new Honda HRV. He's visiting from Lincolnshire so its not even a local car.!
Are the sales that low or is it perhaps just that they're hard to spot from a casual glance because they're not that distinct from a 16?

A white/small wheeled I Pace (looked awful) in Coventry this morning, driving past the old Browns Lane planet.
