I imagine McDonalds are cock-a-hoop at the boost to sales of chicken nuggets...

OK, having spoken to a man in the know: how much food waste do you think there was from the KFC fall-out? (I'll also add it wasn't a logistics issue, more to do with photovoltaic power cells and chillers.....)
If you're wondering food waste is measured in weight over time.
Any guesses?

The partner of one of my work colleagues works in demand planning at KFC, the answer is well into tons.
Despite what is in the press, most of the outlets are still only operating half the menu; I wonder how DHL will cope with the snow ?

Well I suppose I should feel less guilty about throwing the occasional parsnip or tomato into the recycling. I suppose those losses get passed on to the customer.

Human Food waste has two destinations: fertiliser or pig food dependent on type of food waste. Pigs get fed on bread waste and they eat a lot as they basically have 20-24 weeks to get from cuddly piglet to 240kg behemoth.

Is that not putting the bap inside the bacon?

I suppose it is! It’s not the only food they eat but one of the key supplements. His set up is on an industrial scale - probably not a sight for the veggies.
