I am going to beat myself with nettle, I caught myself saying "Not as bad as I thought, half decent even". Could it be that Peugeot have left the dark side?

I'm surprised they're still bothering in this sector, but I like that - looks far better inside and out than anything we're seeing from the 'prestige' brands. After years in the doldrums, Peugeot are finding their styling mojo again - as the type of car goes, I think the 3008 looks great too with lots of nice detailing.
Going by this, looking forward to seeing the next 308 and 208 - with nice GTi versions, they could get back everything they've lost over the last quarter of a century.

Ish. It's certainly more interesting looking but it's no 405/406 in the looks department.
Sensible move to make it a fastback, but if you're going to make it a fastback, why does it still look largely like a saloon?
Unless it's to try to appeal to both traditional saloon buyers in bits of the world that still see three box saloons as more "prestige" and to European buyers who've got the fastback bug.
