HI all, I need help I have a Nissan Micra 04 plate the battery died and the boot hatch would not open I have replaced the battery with a new one but the boot will still not open HELP.

Short in wire to tailgate, meaning that (1) it flattened the battery and (2) the boot release won't work ??

The battery in the car or the battery in the remote? Is the tailgate activated from the remote?
