That's bloody awful. I think its a company called Beacham in New Zealand that do these XK8 mash ups but don't just restrict it to the XK150, they do a number of MK2 and E-types too unfortunately.

Interior is vile in that car; given how stressful running an old motor can be re-engineering a body and chassis is not as bad as making a fake one.
I'd not buy one but I can see how people would.

If it didn't have the modern door handles and wing mirrors, I'd think that quite nice. But I'd rather have an original one with the XK engine and manual 'box with overdrive.

I like the idea of it using modern mechanicals, but not the interior or mirrors. Keep it looking old, but have it fresh and fast underneath, that's how a resto-mod should be.

The interior jars somewhat, especially the seats and steering wheel. A retro look with modern mechanicals - isn't that what the S-Type was anyway?

If I had to have something like this, I'd quite like my old, easily crushable tin can with no safety cell to have an airbag that now goes twice as fast as it used to, thanks...

That reminds me of the Cobra bodied Z3 we saw at NEC Classic!

Resto mod for me is a Triumph GT6 with E46 M3 underpinnings. Or an Opel Monza with Monaro goodies.

I like the idea of an updated classic, but that goes way too far inside (and the mirrors are vile). So basically they've carried out an act of sacrilege on a real classic.
