Virgin are poor but BT are worse . Both incredibly unreliable ,I’m now with Gigaclear running a 1gb download speed and it’s failed once in 12 months ,BT failed weekly and virgin in my old home went down about once a month. And our software providers want us to dump our server and use a cloud only system. Apart from being more expensive I guarantee that the broadband providers would accept no claims for loss over and above their subscription cost whereas a loss of connection could cost us many £000's. I am keeping our server until the broadband connectivity comes with a full compensation guarantee!

I have been with Virgin since we moved in here and they've always been very good with us. Our download speeds are in excess of 100 Meg and we have a TiVo and box upstairs. Any problems and a quick call to 150 usually sorts it out quickly and if an engineer has to visit us or the box up the street they're usually pretty speedy. Given you can have problems with any supplier I'd struggle to change and find one better I suspect.

Same here; been with Virgin since NTL days, I cannot fault them (apart from the cluncky and slow TiVo which has now been replaced by the new TV6 box, which is lightning fast). I get advertised speeds, sometimes faster and have had no issue with faults (which are rare) being reported and rectified. Only issue is trying to negotiate a deal, it is almost impossible.

Sky are not getting rid of dishes in the UK - they are entering some foreign markets dish-free and allowing customers here to have the option.
