For the plutocrat who does not quite, have everything yet. Where are the flame throwers and mine dispensers to deter the mere pleb general population from breathing the same air?

That's a nice looking interior indeed. It's a bit black and white as to whether or not you like it. The only good thing I can see appears to be a 4-spoke steering wheel....

Why does it have a 1970s sideboard as a centre tunnel? Last time I saw wood like that was in the Phoenix Club. Ugh.

Why does it have a 1970s sideboard as a centre tunnel? Looks more like my late aunt's 1950's Stereogram.....

I bet it will be a lovely place to sit and a lovely thing to travel in. I am concerned about how it is going to look though: the more I see of the Velar the less I like it, so I hope it hasn't followed too many styling cues.

Are JLR on a massive niche-creation exercise? When is the convertible due?

It says this will an homage to the 2-door UR Range Rover. So will it have the hose-down interior to clean up the mess from lambing?

It doesn't appear the front doors are much larger than the regular car so it'll be interesting to see how easy it will be to access the rear seats.

The steering wheel appears to be a complete dog's dinner with wood and black leather on the rim, white leather (or plastic) on the hub and spokes in silver.

Looking at it again the door may actually be slightly longer although not much. Anyway:

Why two different colours of seat? My friend had an Orion with different seats front and back and that looked shit as well.

Given production at JLR Castle Bromwich was shut down for four weeks with unplanned and extended shutdowns, perhaps they'd have been better off making a three door XE instead?

Or an XE estate.

At least they had the good sense to paint the show car in 6 month white to attract a few football players.

I have no doubt that even at £240k, they'll have little difficulty shifting them.
