Had one of these as a rental yesterday and today. Choice of it or a Kia Sedona- both are large 7 seaters. The Chrysler had 30,000 miles on it but felt new- certainly as rental cars go, it was in great condition. It had a v6 of some sort and was capable of about 22mpg on our 200 mile journey at speeds averaging in the 70s.
Pros- very spacious, decent engine, well specced, it had the things you expect now- Bluetooth, reversing camera, auto lights, leather seats, multi zone climate with heated seats, powered doors and tailgate, and Sirius satellite radio. It’s also comfortable and handles well for something so large.
Cons- it’s huge, the gear selector is a dial beside the steering wheel- I don’t like them. I know others have done them like Jaguar, but this is horrible and looks like it’s off a cheap stereo system. The instruments didn’t seem to have any adjustment for brightness. They are lit up during the day, and dimmed at night, but when the auto lights come on, the dash lights dimmed and couldn’t be seen. A real pain at twilight.
Apart from that, it was a decent car. It’s light years ahead of the 7 seater shockers that Chrysler used to make in the early 2000’s which is a good thing. There was plenty of underfloor storage too and you can see where the European influences are coming into American car design which is a major improvement. Still wouldn’t buy one though.

I had to Google it to remind myself what they look like these days. It's a shame they aren't available over here as I think there's a market for this kind of thing.

Think we had one of those when we went to Georgia... Rather belatedly (uploader refuses to do anything on my mobile devices), this is a pic of the thing we had. Is it a Pacifica?

There were 5 of us in that with all our luggage, so it did the job. Wasn't that great to drive, but had all the toys, electric doors and boot, sat nav, satellite radio etc. Also had good air con, which was definitely required. It was blazing hot, even though it was cloudier the day I took that photo.

I had a Kia Sedona as a hire car in the US a couple of years ago. It was pretty vast inside, taking 5 + luggage easily. The drive was unmemorable but effective. It suited just bumbling along.
