I bought (at negligible cost) An American Werewolf in Paris, having seen it when it came out. I knew it was crap, but was curious. I think it is possibly the worst film that I have ever seen. Unfunny, badly-acted, crass, not scary, shit-poor CGI and a complete failure by the makers to understand what made the original work so well.
Other suggestions?

I don't watch many films so I can't really make a definitive judgement. But I rememeber Mamma Mia being really bad, which is a shame as I liked Abba.

Flinstones Viva Rock Vegas.
Also I just do not get the hype with Bladerunner, I thought it was a steaming turd of a film.

Drone, a Sean Bean film. I hope they paid a lot because the script and direction were dire. Atlantis down, a sci fi film with no sci fi, instead they have a ?crew? stranded on a planet just outside biggleswaide services, in the woods. These films were made to test the sanity of a viewer.

Daredevil with Ben Affleck, blind lawyer by day, superhero crime fighter by night ain't the most believable concept.

There are a lot of bad films, some I've yet to see, so choosing the absolute worst is pretty hard.
I had the misfortune of watching Labyrinth again yesterday. Why is it considered a classic? Henson puppetry aside, there is little to recommend it. Bowie was not an actor, that was plainly obvious and the girl in the lead role (who I'm led to believe has since won an Oscar) was being out acted by almost all of the scenery.

My 'favourite' for this category is Battle Tanker (also known as Super Tanker) www.amazon.co.uk/Battle-Tanker-Jeffrey-Scott-Lando/dp/B007SWTFXG. According to the blurb there's a supertanker rigged with explosives, or something like that. In reality the only time you see a supertanker is the artwork on the front cover. It has shaky sets, awful dialogue and terrible action sequences. The only actor I recognised from it was the British actor who, I think, played Spocks dad in one of the earlier Star Trek films. (Just checked and he played Sarek (?) in the 2009 Star Trek film). We let various friends see it and got some incredibly negative feedback and several threats

Can't believe no-one (self included) has mentioned scientology-shite Battlefield Earth yet...

That is because we all know it is a documentary... Tin foil hat at the ready. Just in case. Never seen it but I hope it is at least possible to laugh at it.

I've got a second nomination - Snow Dogs. It has a very old Lee Marvin in it but it's absolutely terrible. We watched it on the recommendation of some friends but it became clear they were trying to get us back for letting them see the aforementioned Battle Tanker!

For about ten minutes - after that it's so boring you start thinking about whether the kettle might need de-scaling, garden weeding, your teeth pulling out without anaesthetic...

Not in the aforementioned league, though. But then I have a minor soft spot for the heroine, despite her significant thespian limitations.

Plenty of terrible films, it’s all subjective of course. The Royal Tennenbaums being one of the few films I’ve seen where the audience left in significant numbers midway through the film. The film ‘Unstoppable’ also comes to mind as being a wafer thin plot with dire acting and a major flaw in the title in that it ends with the train being stopped.

This reminds me, I watched the Baywatch movie on the flight up here to Shanghai. Good God, who on earth wrote that pile of crap.
