I just do not see the point. If you want to shift a load, why one of these?

I just do not see the point. If you want to shift a load, why one of these? Because you want 4x4 and don’t want to drive a van. They also have a great towing capacity.

Plus, you can hardly sell organic vegan dolphin friendly fairtrade fava beans from the back of an L200, can you?
I can see a lot of Cheshire businesses using these.

They've got a dedicated following that's for sure. I know they're popular with people who shoot, my friend has one for that purpose.

I guess in the current absence of a Defender this will have to do for those who want a rugged load-lugger that can do the business off-road.

Land Rover Discovery Commercial is too long a name. I'm going to rename it:
Wilmslow Transit.

Rather than start a new thread, Startech are now offering a solution to those who can't get over the wonky rear plate:

You can't polish a turd, but you can sprinkle it with glitter.

That is a massive improvement but now highlights all the plastic crap attached at the back

How much does that cost? That would be quite a bit of fiddly panel beating, unless it is a composite of some sort.

Looks lie it's wearing a nappy! Is the spare tyre hidden behind the lower bumper bulge?

I doubt it - that would imply a bit of a climbdown and their star designer, the Mick Hucknall lookalike, gives the impression that he's not that lacking in confidence.

Probably not as luxurious but the Merc X class doesn’t look a long way off. Pickups usually don’t have the same towing capacity and the load area isn’t properly secure even with a canopy.
