Disco 5 gone and replaced by an XF diesel S saloon in Silicon Silver. I haven't got any pictures of the car with it's fat ugly sister, so it will have to be these quick snaps. It's awesome to be back in a proper car, it's a lovely thing. This one has fully icy pee with the LCD dials and other trinketry (20 inch wheels, cold climate pack, memory pack, privacy glass and other things). Just need all the snow, ice and salt to bugger off

Very smart - I like the colour and the interior. Not entirely sure about the wheels (can you get them in a darker shade?) and personally I dislike privacy glass. Have fun with it!

Not sold on the glass either, but that's a very handsome car indeed.

Very nice
What are your thoughts on the engine. Sounds a right torque monster

Very nice, not tempted by an estate which I think helps the rear end looks. Sad that Jag probably sells 5 times as many F and E Paces as these

That's a really nice looking car. There's something about Jags that just raises them above the German competition.

I like the colour combination and the wheels, but still can’t get on board with the rear end. It’s a car I want to like, but having had a proper look at one, I don’t think it would be on my shortlist like the old one was.
Much better looking than the Discovery though, but that’s not difficult.

Interesting that even 20" wheels look just a tiny bit smaller than ideal. But that's nit-picking.

Looks great but I preferred the Discovery. +1. It does look good though.

That does look smart. It's one of those cars where the R-Design styling enhancements do actually enhance the design.

Silver from the factory - these are the nicest XF wheels (style and colour) IMO. The 20 inch matrix wheel is a bit busy, but still pleasant if you go for silver.
This is my second X260 3.0 diesel - the first one I did 4,500 miles in and the engine was loosening up nicely. Very brawny, very smooth and extremely economical given the grunt. This one should be the same.
I don't think the Sportbrake looks as good as the saloon, there is a specific viewing angle on the rear 3/4 view that looks very ungainly (and reminds me of the latest Mazda 6 estate).
Given how delightful the saloon is to drive (and it really is fantastic), I can't see the extra 115kgs of the SB doing anything than making it ever so slightly less good to drive.
Oh - and pictures don't do the colour justice at all, it's the best colour I've seen on a Jag saloon and it works even better on a Jag than it does on a Land Rover.
