I know it's unfair as they are clearly wonderfully-engineered, but I feel that Koeningsggy chase the numbers and this does little either to change that view or make me lust after one.

I saw that over the weekend, it’s unbelievably quick over 200mph and looks very stable. Apparently it’s on the standard (Cup 2) tyres and they didn’t have any issues with them.
No ‘want’ from me, but it’s very impressive.

Bugatti claimed a world record of 42 secs for a 0-400kph-0 a few weeks back. Just days later Koenigsegg did the same thing in 36 seconds! edit: I now see, after clicking the link, that my story is well mentioned in the piece!

I love how the driver takes it easy to 190 Mph then totally nails it.
And the fact that he still has another gear to go at 225 Mph.
This has got the Bugatti and Hennessy fanboys in a massive state of froth and for that, Koeniggsegg should be heartily congratulated. I would have an Agera over any other super/hypercar in a heartbeat.

I like how slow 125mph looks as he bumbles along at the end of the first run.

That is incredible! The acceleration from 180mph onwards is just amazing. Wow!

Try out the 0-400-0 vid. You don't get such an impression of speed, as it isn't filmed on a public road, but the driver slamming on the anchors at 250 mph is pretty scary.

That is utterly insane. Do they officially now have the record of fastest production car? Or do Guinness see them as too small a manufacturer to be counted?
