new Audi A7 Sportback Don't like it at all. Design too busy, too many angular lines, just not as handsome as previous models and interior whilst better ergonomically for having separate controls for HVAC and ICE/nav looks far too busy again with too many lines...and it looks like it has a mantel piece on the passenger side. LED lights on sequence is quite cool if anyone has seen the video Porsche Panamera, Merc CLS, Jaguar XJ you have nothing to worry about.

I quite like it and like the interior a lot.

The arse end is less dumpy than previously.

Like the old A7 but uglier and the interior I'm no fan of either but holding out it'll look ok in the flesh.

WTF is going on inside the cabin???
There's a rounded bit behind the steering wheel, a very square console, shaped panel on the left of the wheel, a shelf in front of the passenger, and I assume that sort of hexagonal thing in the middle is a touch screen that can be made to display all sorts.
Back end looks better than the current one; front end worse.

The old one was an Audi that actually looked a bit different to the rest of the range. More droopy at the back, obviously lower and wider. This new one just looks like an A5 5 dr at 110%.
My general thoughts on Audi design at the moment - which are all present here The front grille is becoming comically large The air intakes / large areas under the lights are getting bigger and more over-styled They all look dumpy from the side The interiors are losing all cohesion and now look tacky.
As bb says, the multiple different shapes going on in front of the driver would make one feel car sick. Maybe it is so that they can drop the tolerances and save some money and you can't tell if it all lines up and is built right, as no two lines meet anywhere. Very clever.

That looks like the current A5 sportback, not the current A7.
I prefer the old one - more distinctive.

I liked the old one. This one however...
Not really.

Actually..... I quite like the look of that; a lot less "melted whilst out in the sun" than the old one

Looks better from the outside, but rather too many creases. The inside is a mess.

I don’t know about that. The exterior looks better but I’m not a fan of all the full width chrome and features. The interior is a mess and the middle bit reminds me of the media centre at Lords Cricket Ground- a.k.a Cherie Blair’s mouth.

As others have said it looks overstyled.
What are those swoopy bits on the lower half of the door meant to be doing - are rubbing strips making a comeback?
