Well those of you that know me on Facebook are aware that I have been nagging W2.0 to have what is probably the most perfect Alfa 159 V6 in the country. Finally convinced her to come and see it this coming weekend; spoke to the owner: really super chap, an Alfa nut. Bought the car off the Alfa UK management fleet having told them he wanted it then had it for 9 years. So a 2 owner car never seen a car wash, full SH, every extra and an auto (important for W2.0 and the Aisin box is the one they use in the i8). Plus it’s red.
Called me tonight to tell me it’s sold. I’ve said before I only like a few cars and a red 159 is one of the few. Ho hum. Teach me to procrastinate.

There's another lesson, which I tend to live by, to learn: It's better to seek forgiveness than permission.

Bugger. That was a particularly nice example.

Was it a Ti spec model? A red 159 Ti is a lovely thing indeed.

I really liked the Ti when it was launched and it still looks good today. A real shame.

If it was a Ti the wheels would be knackered within a week (probably).
The landlord of my last house was an Alfa fan and had a heated garage containing a 159 V6 Q4, a 156 GTA and a 155 Sport (although I never actually saw them moving!). I was gutted when he offered the lot to me for £10k when we were buying our current house. The 156 would've been worth at least that on its own today!

Dodged a bullet I reckon. Every 159 owner I've spoken to said the happiest days of their ownership were the day they bought it and the day they sold it.
