Fingers crossed the projects a huge success and fair play to Dyson for being able to commit £2billion to it. Thing is Tesla has the whole Musk thing and as a brand its right up there. Don't know if Dyson, who flog plastic vacuums has the cachet to get someone out of a BMW

If it's like my Dyson V5 it will be shit on from a great height by it's German cupboard-space sharer, the Miele death-sucker-upper. As a measure despite the Dyson being cordless etc. I use the Miele to vacuum the car and when I need to clean the Dyson heads out I use the Miele. I cannot use that POS Dyson (which was a gift in case you're wondering) to clean the heads of the Miele!

The last Dyson we bought got sent back two days later as it was feeble and comically cheap of build. We replaced it with a Shark (good old U.S of A build) which has been quite brilliant.

As we all seem to find Dyson vacuums universally shit (as we have), the question is how are they so successful?
But I have to say their hand dryers are rather good. In that they actually dry your hands rather then leaving them faintly damp, as most others do.

If G-tech decide to make a car, it'll be better than the Dyson, just like their hoovers

I’ve never had an issue with my Dyson. It’s a DC14 Vroom and it’s knocking on a bit. Keep the filters and brushes clean and they work brilliantly. It’s got enough suction to lift the carpet.

I like Dyson's vacuum cleaners, almost rave about them... far better than the Hoover, Electrolux, Goblins, whatever else I've used in the past - even the famed Kirby. The only real issue I have had is that when my daughters were at home, their long hair used to easily get curled up around the rotating bristles mechanism and often it required a good few minutes with a stanley knife or similar to free up the rotating parts again - and the hairs were on the floor, in case you were thinking otherwise, I didn't vacuum their hair whilst it was still growing !

I know what you mean. It's a shame he didn't set his sights on a Vespa rival as he could have moped up.

Hope the battery in their car lasts longer than the one in their cordless vacuums!

^ Difficult..... the "Animal" name is already used by IIRC Mitsubishi, so no Dyson Animal car. I wonder if it will use conventional wheels, or rotating balls ?

The Animal that Mitsubishi use is actually in conjunction with Animal clothing as a lifestyle name so isn’t actually Mitsubishi’s. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_(clothing)

Interesting idea. You would have thought a Dyson car would have no chance but the electric car revolution offers the chance for lots of new entrants that are not traditional manufacturers. We've had two Dyson vacuums - the original DC01 which went on for ages and was eventually replaced by a more modern one some years ago. Their customer service is very good and the units themselves very robust.
