Just one week from Malaysia to Japan, thread posted early in case anyone may be away (or in case I forget, if I leave it until later)

^ Quite possibly...... 2 weeks to go until Austin, and Mexico is on the following week-end, so within 3 weeks it would appear that the 2017 title race will be decided. Once again, Hamilton pulled out a stunning pole lap; I wonder if he will reach 100 poles before he leaves the sport?
One record still to be equalled is Schumacher's "every race finished on the podium" from 2002 IIRC

I'm a Lewis fan, but was really annoyed to see Vettel retire and wanted Max to take the win in the last couple of lap. Good race overall and brilliant drives by Lewis and Max, both outperformed their team mates by a decent margin. Also good to watch a race on a track that punishes errors.

I agree it was quite frustrating. I was really looking forward to Lewis and Seb battling it out with Max trying to throw a spanner into the works too. All three seem to be really well matched right now and it’s a pain to see Ferrari’s engines preventing some decent competition. I really hope they all have a reliable car in Austin so we can see them have a decent fight, especially as the title could be decided there.
