This may have been overlooked but I think this is a very highly attractive looking car (that no one will buy), which is a pity. Shades of Mazda at the front, not such a bad thing as Mazda are styling some very nice looking cars at the moment and more than a hint of BMW and Mercedes C, E or S Class at the rear, again not a bad thing. Interior looks very smart too, just a pity up against more established competition (I'm guessing BMW 3-series, Audi A4, C-Class, newish Guilia etc) it will struggle to sell but that in my eyes is a pity. Very smart looking thing especially in grey

That's the thing though: It's a mixture of lots of different cars rather than its own thing.
The badge is very Bentley.

The name is very Volvo The centre console is very Audi The display screen above the console is very Mercedes-Benz and if it does not sell well, Nelson, it may be worth next-to-nothing for you in a few years, if you have your heart set on one

It's well documented on here how much I lament the non fitting of these items on cars with large rear screens, the Audi A5 Sportback is a prime example, seeing a new VW Arteon which has a traditional lift back hatch needs one badly, but stylists wont fit one because it will ruin the (coupe...oh please) lines. But that is why I won't buy one. I will only buy a traditional hatch or estate. I drive for a living and have driven many various cars in different body styles, but one thing I like when it is absolutely pi55ing it down is the ability to at least (albeit only used briefly) to be able to see out the rear clearly. A saloon and coupe doesn't give you that option, my Dad has a 3-series, nicely proportioned car, but all but crap in the wet for rear visibility and even when there are dried smudges on the screen you can't wash them off The Porsche Panamera designers need applauding for fitting one, that if it was a 5-seater in standard Panamera guise would be my ideal car but it's a 4-seater and that rules out taking our 2 close friends out with us. A Range Rover is perfect for me and as much as love the look of the E and S-Class Mercs they are saloon only, albeit the E can come in huge estate guise which solves the rear visibility problem but the lack of a rear wiper of more mainstream cars, Audi A5 Sportback and Arteon prime examples denies a sale from me and maybe others, though I can accept there are those who couldn't give a flying toss. Like the Genesis a lot, won't ever have one

Rear is a bit Mercedes, front is a bit Jaguar. Overall it looks good but such is the brand snobbery in Europe it won't sell over here. The Yanks are much more open to new market entrants (Tesla would have withered and died as a brand if they had launched in Europe) and Genesis does well over there.

I literally cannot pick out a single original piece of styling on that entire car!

Nelson, the Panamera is a hatch so it should have a rear wiper, nothing to be applauded there. In fact if you google panamera tailgate a lot of the images show no rear wiper!

Probably a thousand quid option. Or £1250 if you want it with a Porsche badge on it.

Given how well Hyundais and Kias are styled these days, I find that quite disappointing - a Kia Stinger completely eclipses it to my eyes, and as far as styling goes, it also beats the A4/6, 3/5 and the C/E.

I was thinking that looked quite nice...right up to the point where I saw the front. Which is 'orrible.

Worst thing you can put on a car for aesthetics is a rear wiper therefore I'm rather happy Porsche leave them off.

You'd prefer those 'eyelashes' that the borderline-retarded put above their car's 'eyes'?!

Ooh.
The grille is a bit overdone, but otherwise I quite like that.

I drove a previous large Hyundai some years ago in the US and it worked there as a piece of featureless but very comfortable white goods. And what set it apart was that the interior was nicely black with cream leather, when way too many US cars seemed to think that shyte brown everywhere was acceptable.

I've noticed that EVO and CAR are starting to speak out against touch screens and gesture control. In my experience they're certainly no better than a good old fashioned button.

The one thing that is potentially putting me off buying getting another Audi is the central comtroller thingy. I hate it and always have to look down to see what button I'm prodding.

It works the wrong way too, or at least not the way you'd expect. I had an A3 with MMI recently and the BmW system is easier / more intuitive.

I don't think they changed the rotation when the car went from LHD to RHD. Very unintuitive. There are too many buttons, too.
