Bloody hell that's awful. A friend's dog used to be terrible for eating cigarettes, but only dog ends.

I read that and was more appalled than anything else. Bring back dog licensing to stop poor canines falling into this kind of life

I read that and was more appalled than anything else. Bring back dog licensing to stop poor canines falling into this kind of life And how would that work exactly? 30 minute test, walking to heel, in and out of poles, over jumps, stopping distance when being dragged by a Spaniel etc. leading to a multiple choice and license at the end.

^ The dog might struggle with the Theory part of the test.
You may be barking up the wrong tree by suggesting a test is required before a licence can be issued. I hope someone didn't lead you up the wrong path.

Maybe society should start a debate on whether people who think so deeply about perfectly innocent things and come up with a twisted interpretation, are actually the enemies.
It will soon be necessary to have a full 10 page contract signed of do's and don'ts before you can ask someone out or go on a date! Can't see our version of the human race lasting long with those criteria.

If that is her interpretation then perhaps she should be questioning herself - at some point she's going to be asked where babies come from, etc. How's she going to answer that without sex coming into it?
Also, you have to wonder if she ever read the book as a kid and if it affected her view of appropriate sexual behaviour (notwithstanding her ludicrous request).

“I don’t think taking Sleeping Beauty books out of circulation completely would be right. I actually think it would be a great resource for older children, you could have a conversation around it, you could talk about consent, and how the Princess might feel."
I should think after being asleep for 100 years she'd feel pretty grateful to the prince.
We're getting very much in danger these days of blurring the lines between sexual harassment and romance - the human race will die off if we keep up with this nonsense because everyone will be too scared of the recriminations of even talking to each other let alone having sex!

Well quite, it almost feels like you're committing a crime if you so much as look at another woman let alone have the gall to actually speak to one!

Fuck me, where do they find these people - "Katherine DM Clover, a mother of a 2-year-old in Detroit who occasionally watches "Thomas," struggles with whether she should use the same criteria to judge her child's TV preferences as she does her own.
"I think there is a fine line that parents walk when it comes to media. Obviously, there are some things that are going to be totally off-limits and some things that are more in the 'I don't love it, but whatever' territory. ... 'Thomas' feels like a very difficult call. Is this harmful, or is it just not to my taste?"
Maybe I'm missing something - how can Thomas the Tank Engine be harmful??? Maybe she's watching this by mistake? YouTube - The Fat C@ntroller"When I was young it was Tom and Jerry that was regularly castigated for being violent, racist and everything else. Now the racism tag is now applied as a warning on Amazon Video - as the housemaid is a large lady of colour...... www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-29427843

You’re not allowed to have humour now. Nothing is funny in these shouty ranty times of offence. We’ve never had it so tough.

No you’re right Michael and I should probably take this opportunity to apologise for any offence my post caused. I also apologise in advance to anyone who finds my apology offensive either directly or indirectly on behalf of someone else who may or may not be offended but on whoms behalf you take offence.
What a time to be alive.

We watched Michael McIntyre doing stand-up last night on TV and I have to say both my wife and I thought he was pretty damned funny. Including an hammy oriental accent impersonation that was surely not particularly PC.

I choose to find your post offensive, Alex. There is no forgiveness here unless you’re a socialist and you’ve been on a journey?
Can we have a ‘safe space’ forum?

This is not original - I saw this episode of Family Guy the other day - hilarious - where Brian tries to apolgise for making a supposed racist joke.

Apparently Friends is homophobic and racist now. I was reading this and laughing my fucking arse off! What kind of dainty flowers are there out there that they can't watch a sitcom from a couple of decades ago without thinking its scripts and characters are akin to the slave trade or Nazi Germany? If we were to have a war with the Eastern Europeans and/or the Russians we're basically fucked. Edited to add: I'm going to YouTube "It ain't half hot, mum" and "The Jeffersons" all evening now.

Cathy Newman delivered an absolute car crash of an interview with Jordan Peterson where she said she thinks the 'right' not to offended trumps the right to free speech. There people are morons.
