Got to drive my boss' Toyota Tundra earlier in the week. It's probably about 12 years old and has 130k miles on the clock. Impressions: It's big. Driving it in Silicon Valley traffic is easy until you have to park in one of their more European sized parking spaces. It's not fast but is able to haul a lot. We carried 42 crates of water back in it the other week though it felt like it had almost half a ton in the bed.
It's got a poor turning circle, but it's built for the countryside and that's where it's best.
Not much more to say about it other than I keep hearing the AC/DC song every time I think of the Toyota Tundra (na na na na, na na na na, na na). Tundrastruck.

Just imagine a Toyota Hi-lux enlarged by about 50% and with a bloody big engine in front and a typical US interior. Can't be far off.

It looks a bit like a Dodge RAM.

Nope! Kind of bland to look at. Interestingly, I was talking to a guy who bought the new Toyota Tacoma, which is a smaller Tundra, and he told me that dealers are giving terrible residuals for Tundras, but you'll get pretty much what you paid if you trade in a year old Tacoma. Apparently, they're hugely popular, and better looking than their older brother. goo.gl/images/dY4Txh
