I'm hoping to go as I've not much else lined up for tomorrow. I wonder what tragedies await.... www.camberleycarshow.co.uk/I don't think Edd China has restored his Orange-mobile yet, think it was 3 years ago I last went

Update: Apparently Edd China is now going to be there all day (10am to 4pm) with the Orange-mobile

What time are you going Chris? I might be able to pop over in the afternoon. My uncle lives in Blackwater and is on holiday at the moment so I might drop the car on his drive and wander over.

Sorry Alex, didn't see your post until too late. I got there about 10am when it wasn't very busy and left at 2pm by which time it was heaving, must have drawn huge numbers to Camberley although The Mall wasn't very busy - majority stayed outside where the exhibits were. Edd apparently drove his Sofa there, the Outspan Orange car is being worked on at the moment or so I was told... The gent in the white tee who was guarding the sofa is the Machine Shop manager where I used to work so we managed to have a bit of a catch-up. No mistaking Edd, the tent was only just high enough for him to fit under and still stand upright:

I was impressed with how many exhibitors there were with a few quite rare vehicles on show.

I think the Beta Montecarlo was probably my favourite. The black Mustang used to belong to Andrian Newey, Dan Gurney didn't get elected as President (of the USA... maybe of a car club or two...). The imitation VW Microbus is a Subaru; I recall seeing one very like that in Scotland many moons ago and wondering what on earth it was, so now I know !
Many modded cars and some of the paintwork and engine detailing is amazing; favourite gearknob has to be the piston-styled one. The green Volvo 144 had been "restored" and the owner had only had it back for 3 days before taking it to the show; his restorer was also there. Very friendly atmoosphere and it was good to see many wheelchair-bound youngsters being pushed around the exhibits and being treated with respect, and they were obviously enjoying their time there too. No sign of Bloodhound this year, and the only F1 car I saw was the old Jordan, which was a mock=up/show car anyway.
