I was asked to check my sister in law's tyres, 2 are at or below the wear limiter and the other tyre was like this!! 😲😲😲

It's a Y reg FIAT Punto 1.2 so not tearing about the place.... she was about to drive back down to London so good job I checked as I doubt it would have made the journey, it seems like the tyre is ancient as much of the rubber is cracked.
4 new tyres tomorrow once I find somewhere to supply/fit and then she can go home

My work colleague has been borrowing his other half's car while she's away and had a puncture. Turned out both rear tyres were down to the canvas and he got lumped with the bill for replacing them! Wouldn't it have been pretty hard to miss that as a walk past viewer viewer every day?

4 new Toyo NanoEnergy 3 fitted this afternoon for £143 - seems a bit of a bargain to me

I left work tonight at gone 11pm and almost straight away thought something wasn't right. First chance to pull in and check revealed a huge screw (on of those with a head you need a 10mm socket for) right in the middle of the tread on the front near side. The space saver is now on. I don't hold out much hope of it being repairable. I knew almost immediately. How some people don't realise they have badly worn tyres is beyond me.

When the BMW was in for service on Friday, they found a split in one of the front tyres which is OK as they've done 55,000 miles and are very close to needing replacement. What wasn't good was a big nail in one rear tyre and a piece of metal in the other. No idea how long they have been there and the tyres aren't losing pressue at the moment, but I need to replace them as well, which is annoying as they have 50% of their life left and are wearing nice and evenly....
The place I really like, which is close to my office can get them in by 1pm tomorrow, but I need to leave for Poole around 11:30am, so that's not going to work, which makes it even more annoying as they'll do all 4 for £785 (£835 from Blackcircles, which is cheapest online price). I'm away for 3 days, so am going to have to take the Boxster, but still have to get the tyres fitted tomorrow (while Lindsay is at work), which means a bill of £856. So, that's pretty much £1500 spent on the car in the last couple of days......
