All very similar to the pre facelift car, digital rev counter a step back but they’ve kept the ‘key’ rather than switch to a button. The biggest news is you can now get rear seats as an option, on the Touring at least. What a special / weekend family car that would be! Oak green, silver wheels, new folding buckets, back seats.…just add black trim around the windows and that would be perfect.

Although I expect it will be silly money and you won’t be able to order one….

Have they ditched the Bugs Bunny high level brake lights from the engine cover? Those were pretty glaring (Ha!) to my eyes.

Have they ditched the Bugs Bunny high level brake lights from the engine cover? Those were pretty glaring (Ha!) to my eyes. But they spelt out 911. There were 9 ridges followed by the two II brake lights and then another 9 ridges. Pointless as nobody but anoraks noticed. I'd love one of these. That Touring in Oak Green with rear seats, buckets and I'd even keep the chrome. No chance in getting one but thats more to do with me being a pauper then any allocation issues.

Thats on the standard cars, the GT3s have a panel in the centre and a different high level brake light. The price is £157,300, so call that £160k on the road. Add folding buckets and a couple of other bits and you'll be quickly over £170k. I don't know whether that's too much or not bad for a car you could keep forever.

I think that Politicians are the greatest threat to beautiful machinery such as the GT3. If I had a spare £170K I would certainly consider one (more likely to buy a Turbo though because the GT3 really needs a track or non UK roads. Also ragging a £170K car around a track just seems so wrong unless you don't care about it). I don't think of it as expensive, given what you get and the pedigree, even though I couldn't reasonably afford to buy and run something like that.

On balance, to me, the 718 Cayman in the other thread is a more attractive car. Obviously, different levels of performance but I know which one I'd look forward to enjoying every morning as I stepped out of the house.

I'm not a fan of the new exhaust pipe arrangement. Didn't like it on the V6 F-Types and don't like it much here either.

Not much of an improvement over the previous model imo. In fairness many mentioned how over sensitive the steering was and by using the system they put in the very limited ST they may have solved that issue . I keep looking at the rs spyder thinking that may be the pick of Porsche gt cars ,if only it didn’t have a stupid roof .
