As a poster for teenage me's bedroom wall it looks fantastic. Other than that it's just a bit meh -another hypercar and they all look very similar.

It's nicer than a lot of these things but I just don't get excited about 1,000BHP hypercars.
Also this has the new Ferrari front end on it as seen on the 12 Cilindri, presumably as some sort of homage to the Daytona, but someone urgently needs to ask them to look at the current Vauxhall corporate face.....

And pointless to me, I honestly wouldn't swap a 550 Maranello for one.
What do people do with this stuff? its too valuable to chuck around a track and needs the skill of a professional driver to extract the best from it. Way too fast for the road and probably horrid to use on anything UK tarmac related.
I hate being the miserable git but this stuff should be be really exciting and I really couldn't care less. Its no surprise F40 and F50 values are soaring.

What do people do with this stuff? I share your views on the pointlessness of it, but I suspect Ferrari know exactly the kind of customer who will buy one.

I understand why they’ve put a V6 in it and it’s hardly short of power, but it should be a V12. Not that it won’t already be sold out.
Isn’t the point of this car to sell more of the standard models as you have to keep buying them to get in the list?

Like other, I'm afraid that hypercars leave me cold.
This one? Soon to be seen pulling up to some swanky location in Monaco where the "girlfriend" of the swarthy / old / fat / ugly [delete as appropriate] owner gets out while displaying her underwear (or lack of it).

The 296 hasn’t been a roaring success due to V6, so if they can compare it too an F80 I guess that makes the junior models easier to shift. And confirm a V6 is a real Ferrari not a Dino.

I don't understand the worry about having a V6 over a V12. It's only the press cars that will actually ever be driven anywhere so as long as it has enough performance to impress them its fine and if they criticise it for only having 6 cylinders Ferrari will just say "well we've sold the lot of them so you're wrong".
But otherwise I agree it's all a bit pointless now and after the disappointment of the latest McLaren W1 it feels like they're only now doing it to keep the super-rich collectors happy. Neither move the game on in any way like their predecessors did so what do they offer that their regular models don't other than exclusivity.

Tell me where. Sounds like a good place to sit with a coffee and a pair of shades on. For the cars obvs This is how the F80 should have looked:

Sat in the Café de Paris a few times, nursing a €25 gin and it whilst watching the combination of wealthy dirty old men and surly gangsters pull up in an array of classics and moderns with a pneumatic-chested companion (distant niece for the old men, I’m sure) in tow.

I must be getting old. There's stuff on YouTube filmed at Casino Square and the "distant nieces" of those old men do very little for me. Apart from wanting to tell them that style never goes out of fashion and that whereas in most walks of life less is more, when it comes to clothing, often more is just better.
