RIP. I guess his breathing machine finally gave up. May the force be with him......
I am always amazed when I'm reminded that the first Star Wars film was 1977 and I still remember going to see it two Friday night's in a row with groups of friends and then again with my parents at Leicester Square in London on the big screen with early surround sound. As the Imperial Battelcruiser comes overhead at the beginning, I swear everyone in the audience ducked a bit.

Episode 4,5 and 6 of Star Wars will never be beaten. Also loved JEJ in Coming to America. He was like a more successful Brian Blessed. RIP
In fact I'd liked to have Seen Darth Vader played by Brian Blessed.

RIP In fact I'd liked to have Seen Darth Vader played by Brian Blessed. I agree with Episodes 4 and 5 being the best. Return of the Jedi was too much like the Care Bears Movie for my liking with those stupid Ewoks.

Yeah. First two for me.
JEJ. My favourite movie with him in it was Soul Man - where C. Thomas Howell blacks up to get a scholarship for black students. I watched it several times one summer as it was on HBO or Cinemax. I rewatched it a couple of years ago - no one would dare make it now.
RIP. A life well lived.

For me, his pivotal role was King Jaffe Joffer in Coming To America, one of my favourite and most quotable films. Never been a Star Wars fan.

Favourite for me as Admiral James Greer in the Tom Clancy series of films. I'd forgotten he'd done those films.
