Is the boot latch led light system on a b max a sealed unit?
Really surprised has I recently had to have this replaced in a failed Mot the old part had engraved crusty dirt around it?
I queried it, and mechanic said rain gets in and car gets dirty so rain gets in this is how the electrics fail ?
