Just under a year late (based on the original completion date) and one month after the most recent completion date that the DfT will admit to, finally this morning the temporary (for 3 years???) speed limit signs have gone and it's now possible to legally do 70mph again on the M3 between Farnborough and the M25

Is it now VSL? In which case, await totally random limit changes.

Wow. That is news. Mind you presumably the roadworks north of Guildford are still in place. I had to go down to near Winchester and back on Sunday and had to go via the A3/Hogs Back/M3 due to the "Winner of the World's Worst Idea for a Cycle Race Location" causing mayhem on the M25/inner M3, and the roadworks on the M3 were still in place.

I am sooooooo glad I live in the leafy Cotswolds. My commute on the B4035 is a pleasure every morning, shared only with an occaisonal other vehicle and, yesterday, a flock of sheep.
