OK, Fisker (the man) gets very mixed reviews and whether any of the cars Fisker (the firm) has either in production, almost in production etc ever really get into volume production remains to be seen. But maybe we should hope so as the review in Autocar of the Fisker Ocean makes it sound like a good EV at a non-stupid price. And to my eye, it looks different enough to the now common "EV-SUV" shape in enough ways to be interesting. www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/fisker/oceanAnd if the UK pricing is to be believed, ranging from £36k to £61k, it even looks competitive. www.fiskerinc.com/en-gb/ocean

The rear lights are 'Alfa Concept Car, 2007'.
I assume it's fairly large and will just disappear into the ongoing EVSUV pool.

It's a 4.7M car. Same as the Tesla Y and the BMW iX3.
Fisker says he's bringing out the Fisker Pear, which will be smaller. Although apart from a prototype that a bit vapourware..

Looks like a great family car proposition. Need to understand the service offering as well.

If that gets enough traction in the market it could do really well. They are spending a fortune on advertising and I like their ingenuity so I hope they are a success. In today's market, it is a lot of car for the money.

It does look good - in an "I'll admire it" kind of way rather than an, "I want one" kind of way - if I was to have an EV it would only be on a lease or contract hire though to ensure that it wouldn't be me taking any future hit.

I saw a blue one in MK at lunchtime and I it looked pretty good out on the road, more interesting than the vast majority of EVs. A few minutes later as I was passing Newport Pagnell, I saw they have taken over the old Land Rover garage on the edge of town and it had a full showroom so I dropped in for a look. I wasn't there for long, but enough to know its very spacious for the size (similar to an X3) with a decent boot and plenty of legroom for me in the rear, I still don't like large touchscreens but at least it had a drivers display as well, some of the materials don't feel great but probably are very good for the price as it's a £38k-60k car and the top of the range model has a lot of kit plus real world range of high 300s (claimed 440) and decent performance (0-60 in 3.7). It did look and feel well put together, massively better than a Tesla, not a huge surprise as it's built by Magna Steyr. I only looked at the Extreme, but it had plenty of standard kit...solar opening roof, electric seats F&R, 3D sound system etc. They're offering a 6 year warranty and breakdown cover and a 10 year warranty on the battery covering it if it drops to less than 75% capacity. Without driving it, I think it would make an excellent family car and even though £60k is a lot of money, it does feel like decent value in todays market. You can drop all windows or just the rear window from the key, reminds me of my 5 series estate.

It's one of the few 2024 release cars that looks interesting. And with the quoted range at the quoted prices, I hope they do really well with it.

I've seen a couple about and having not really read much about them I assumed they were a £100k plus car like some of the high end German EVs so it definitely looks good for the price it actually is.

The problem with Fisker is that, no matter how long the warranty, will the Company still be around to honour it?
