Possibly only the second time I’ve had a car I owned get a recall, but I got a letter from Ford today saying the front brake lines on the Mondeo are subject to a recall. Not a major job, but there aren’t many Ford dealers near me now so I will have to look into where to go. The only other time I had a recall was when I had the Honda Odyssey Van in California, which was recalled for some engine issue I’ve forgotten.

Recalls are a real pain if the dealer is not on your doorstep.
My Citroen Visa had one recall, the Honda one recall, lost count of how many times the Scenic was recalled (the firsr time was before I could even collect it, delaying my purchase for a few weeks).
I don't recall (pun intended) any further recalls on the subsequent cars I have owned

I've had several for the Takata airbag recall - E39 and E46 BMWs
My 4 series had a recall last year to check the EGR valve and was deemed ok then got another recall this year to replace it.

The last I had was my V40 - something to do with a faulty rear demister circuit.
My dad's Explorer had a couple - one of which was the Firestone tyre delamination issue which was denied by Ford at first.

I had a recall on my Lexus IS for some seatbelt fault. It only took a day to sort and they put half a tank of fuel in and left a nice bottle of champagne on the passenger seat as a way of apologising.

I only remember one and that was yonks ago for the heated screenwash nozzles on my Mercedes 190.
There might have been some company car ones, but I can't remember.

Too embarrassed to have it on show in the wash bay?

Oi!!
It was spectacularly dirty due to it being midwinter, having snow tyres on (they really pick up the dirt) and, of course being white(ish). Plus I expected them to wash it so I hadn't bothered.
The Subaru garage I worked at gave everything a 'service wash' including, I'm fairly sure, some cars from people who were only in browsing the stock. I just assumed everywhere did the same.

Working from the Ford Dealership this morning. Their facilities here are very good, staff are friendly and I’m impressed so far- way better than any Ford dealership I’ve been in this side of the pond.
Not many interesting cars here, the showroom is all Kugas and Pumas with one Mustang and one Ranger, the rest are commercial.
They are looking after a few other items on my list as well as the recall, so hopefully not going to be here too long. Work phone is hopping!
